Default Re: Will you go to Hong Kong?

my last visit to this site was sometimes ago la
thanks to everyone's contribution , this thread is still on the first page

i read all the pages and everyone's concern , I will try to suggest more.....

BTW, maybe, maybe I will go to HK next month....still not yet confirm.....

LANGUAGE :
it's true that many hong kong people don't speak very good English/ Chinese
but for shopping and to order in restaurant should have no problem, cause it is just simple Chinese/English

BUT I think it will be better if you speak in English.

FOOD- don't forget to try...

dim sum 點心
egg tart 蛋撻
stinky deep-fried tofu 炸豆腐
roadside stalls - curry fishballs , fried cuttle fish....
Roast pork , roast goose
Bubble tea 珍珠奶茶 (in fact it is from TW, but HK people love it)
Hui Lau San 许留山 (mango dessert....)
The Tortoise Jelly 龟灵膏 (said good for health)
Cha Chann Teng 茶餐廳's HK style milk tea 港式奶茶,
Steamed fresh Milk Custard 燉蛋白鮮奶
Buttered pineapple bun
Egg Waffle 雞蛋仔

There is a link about 50 classic snack in Hong Kong (or for HK people)
sorry again it is in Chinese

Really want to fly to HK now, eat eat eat!!!

no problem la, you could even include Macau in your trip too

SOUVENIR

I like to buy snack as souvenir....so.....

i recommend everything from Kee Wah bakery, they have many shops in HK or you may buy it at airport

http://www.kee-wah.com.hk/public/ehome.html

or ajiichiban 優之良品, many choices and small package is very convenient.

www.ajiichiban.com.hk

Hope you will find this useful!
