On IQ (repost from ddtcl.blogspot.com)

I am surrounded by self-limiting peers.
"Nah, i very stupid and lazy one larh."
Is the respond i get after questioning them: why they did not bother to do better, do more, pick up new hobbies or activities.
I always believed that anyone can be better at examinations by spending more time on reading, practising, and revising.
I grew up in a average Mandarin speaking Chinese family who do not enjoy luxuries of attending elite schools, tuitions, nor piano classes.
I am, however, doing comparatively well in my studies without being a nerd.
It is said in the book, "Think like Da Vinci" that not more than 48% of IQ is depended on genetics.
So, what about 52% of your IQ?
It is a function of prenatal care, environment, and education.
We have good education in Singapore! We have teachers(good or not), books, writing materials, and most powerful of all, the INTERNET available to us!
Based on these, i am rejecting all claims of "I am borned stupid".
Work harder and be useful, bitches.
You are

in all ways.
Okay, what if you have 0% of the IQ genes and you have a IQ-cap of 52% percent.
Here, i'm introducing seven measurable intelligences and the geniuses in each area:
Logical-Mathematical: Stephen Hawking, Sir Isaac Newton, Marie Curie
Verbal-Linguistic: William Shakespeare, Emily Dickinson, Jorge Luis Borges
Spatial-Mechanica: Michelangelo, Georgia O'Keeffe, Buckminster Fuller
Musical: Mozart, George Gershwin, Ella Fitzgerald
Bodily-Kinesthetic: Morihei Ueshiba, Muhammad Ali, F.M.Alexander
Interpersonal-Social: Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, Queen Elizabeth I
Intrapersonal(self-knowledge): Viktor Frankl, Thich Nhat Hanh, Mother Teresa
Finding yourself sucking at Singapore academic programs?
Go discover your musical or aesthetic talents.
The great names mentioned are great models, model after them, be great.
To end my post, i'm sharing a great video of a great person.
I love living life. I am happy.
