Hello.
My PSLE was this year, and as we had all wished for, it ended.
Yesterday we had appreciation day, and everyone cried when they bid their friends farewell.
I didn't cry, because for some reason, I couldn't cry. But of course, I feel very sad to leave my beloved friends...

I collected as many pics (of my friends) as I could and made them into a vid. And finally, this vid made me cry, because it reminded me of all the things my friends and I did together.
I miss my friends, and I will never, ever replace them.

The following is the second parts about uggs genuine:

The fifth move: Looked that this shop UGG shoe to be whether diverse, if the design are many, that is impossible to copy that many, thinks imitates makes a shoe the cost is high how, moreover is impossible to imitate makes that kind of sales volume not good shoe. Therefore is certainly produces for ugg boots the sale the design and the color, only will then be profitable. Therefore, sells generally imitates version UGG in the shop design to have several sections. I knew American UGG imitates the version design to have CLASSIC the SHORT classics to be short at present, CLASSIC the TALL classics are high, UPTOWN, CARGO, ULTRA SHORT, ULTRA TALL, SUNDANCE, SUNBURST TALL and so on. Imitates version's color to have the true colors, the maroon, the black and so on this kind of classical color.

the sixth move: Tries on, the real wool puts on the wool to be very slippery, will not have the astringent feeling, will put on very quickly is very warm, the heat preservation performance will be especially good!

the seventh move: If is ugg boots, that quality goods should be printed with the UGG inscription and the code number special-purpose mold pressing cardboard brace, such can guarantee that (sometimes shoe's outward appearance will rise the code boots), cheating will not go to the mold which will make the shoes to support, only will be with balled paper.

the eighth move: Looked from the habitat that UGG China did not have the special counter now, therefore the shoe is makes the export, these habitats are Made in Newzealand, everybody thinks, these shoes make from New Zealand's factory, must smuggle China, has that expense, how been it can be imagined possible? Has this kind of original story, that does not smuggle other that to make money!

the ninth move: Looked from the code number that now does not have UGG shoe going on the market in China, these uggs which sells is comes out from the factory to break the code shoe few, if the code number is complete, that is false, that is the impossible matter.

the tenth move: Looks at the instep, the real UGG instep is very bright and clean, the cotton thread is each inch 9 needles, the edge distance is very even, the line loose and tight is moderate, will not have the floating wire, the broken line, the bouncing pin. UGG instep feel is very good, does not exist bursts, breakage.

The Marriage Phobia

Ever since a couple of my friends have gotten married, within my circle of friends, they have been asking me when am I getting married. After all, I...

Ever since a couple of my friends have gotten married, within my circle of friends, they have been asking me when am I getting married. After all, I have been through so much with my current bf, 6 years going 7 years soon.

The truth is, I have marriage phobia.

I'm afraid something bad would happen if I get married with a partner, it's like making a lifetime decision at that moment of time.

After that, you are supposed to be on your own with your lifetime partner for the rest of your life.

I'm seriously quite frightened by the thought of it. I cannot imagine handling the entire house myself, living with someone else, etc.

Can you imagine I'm not a very tidy person, neither is my bf, what will become of the house!? Plus, I have so much stuff at home, he's on par with me for this one as well, how is that possible to squeeze both our items into a single room?

:sweat_002:

The worst is that I'm very bad with cooking, the amount of dishes I know can be counted within my 10 fingers, my bf knows how to cook but he loves to experiment too, so half the time we are eating quite horrible food. What will life be like if we are eating instant food everyday?

:qmarkcry:

I have zero confidence of not burning or destroying our property (if we have one). I'm someone that would leave the keys in the lock or door and go for school / work without knowing.

And then, most importantly, I mean we are able to communicate with both sides of our parents now but how would you know things are not going to change in future?

It's like after witness a few family dispute within my circle of friends / relatives, it's always the 'mother-in-law and daughter-in-law' issue whereby the poor son stuck in between not knowing what to do. I wouldn't want to wreck things up between a mother and son, but neither would I want my future husband to dump me cos his mother might be going through menopause causing her to be unreasonable.

There are probably more things to point out, just that I can't recall them now, so many things stopping me from considering a marriage, I have doubts of seeing myself get married. It's already beyond just being financially stable.

So after all these considerations, are you sure you wanna get married? I'll still be saying a 'No' to it.

Alright, time to go for Volka's grooming session and I need to see a doctor for my ankle - I might have either suffered a mild sprain or dislocated my ankle. I can feel my bones move every time I lift my foot up to walk.

I know people might hate me for this remark about the Bible and Quran but this is the truth & nothing but the truth.

Logic has to come into play for this matter as a human without logic is nothing but a puppet in the world of religion.

God does exist but the fact that he tells us rules is like placing our fate.

Suck it up! This is something I've been talking to my friend a long tyme and seriously it's the damn truth!

I hate people who keep saying that "god is this" and "god is that" like my mom and dad.

God gave you a f**king life to live so f**king live the life instead of "praying" to the lord or "praying" to allah.

What the f**k does it bring you? Luck? Money? Talent?

Luck = You Make Your Own Luck

Money = You Make The Money

Talent = You Train Yourself To Have Talent

You do everything but god only creates your existance.

Try to deal with the fact that the Bible & Quran are books and nothing else or your life.....I don't wanna say

Isn't it lonely enough to be a loner at school, you're even a loner at home???

Perhaps I was not EXACTLY that much of a loner in the past. I do have friends, but just not a lot. And I've no idea since when, I always like to be in a GROUP OF 3.

Group of 3 isn't really that bad. But just imagine the scene when you have 2 other friends chatting happily and walking in front of you. To sound nice, you're in a GROUP.

But what's the difference? You're actually just following them... :ft:

We're just trying to create an illusion that we have friends and not eating alone. There are others who are smarter though, they decided to stay in class for their whole recess break.

To many people, Secondary School was the best part of their lives.
To me, Secondary School was the WORST part of my life.

I'm not here to complain how miserable my life WAS.

I just want to mention the important TURNING POINT in my life.

Ever since I went to poly, my life has completely change, the OLD CARROT (my nickname) was gone, reborn with a NEW CARROT who is so much happier.

With a simple reason.

I have friends. Friends who finally notice my existence. Friends who finally will not neglect me.

(Not that my old friends are bad though, they just have a unique way of expressing their friendship when we're in a group of 3...)

TRUE FRIENDS are really HARD to come by. I really took my time to find them...

This is probably the 1st time I had so many friends and going to lunch/home with them in a group.

I thought I hate large groups of people...
Actually, I'm probably just envious why others had such a large group of friends and I didn't...

Anyway, I just want to say "THANKS!!!" to the people who used to be in DCMD/FT/1A/58 in Singapore Polytechnic 2009 last semester as well as DGDD/FT/1B/02.

Especially the GREEN SHIRT GUY (not nice to mention other's name online so...)!!!

So next time if you see a Green Shirt Guy, ask him whether he knows someone called "Carrot", if he does, help me tell him, "You're Great! XD" :lovely:

Of course, my Da Jie in DGDD Year 2 is great too~

How to draw anime for beginners

Hello!

*Warning: Mad long post with truckloads of images coming up, if you have a slow connection do make yourself a cup of tea before...

Hello!

*Warning: Mad long post with truckloads of images coming up, if you have a slow connection do make yourself a cup of tea before proceeding.*

Today, I'm going to do a tutorial on drawing! In fact, today we're drawing an anime character. This is really just how I learnt to draw and I think there isn't any 'correct' way of drawing. And yes, I'm not exactly drawing like a pro but I'm just sharing.

Now, Here's what you'll need.

1. Pencils

I'm using mechanical pencils today but really, it's up to you which type you want to use. Make sure you have two different shades though. One should have a lighter shade which we'll use to draw and the other with a darker shade for outlining when we're done.

2. Paper

I'm using a cartridge exercise book, what I like about it is that it's not huge like a drawing block but the papers in it is of the same texture as those in a drawing block. You can use either one as long as the paper is of drawing block texture.

3. Eraser

Trust me, you'll be needing plenty of this. Plenty.

4. Print out of your anime character

Search online for a picture of the anime character you want to draw. It is important to print it black and white especially if you're a beginner. Reason is that it makes it easier for you to see where all the shadows are and the shade of the shadows in each area. The printout do not have to be the same size as what you plan to draw. You're not tracing so any size will do.

I'll explain why we're printing this out later.

5. Open up the image on your computer for stand by

You must be wondering "Why on earth do I have to do that when I've already printed them out??", well the reason is that if you have a shitty printer (like I do) most often than not, the lines of the anime in certain area will not be clear (especially when there's a complicated inter-cross section). So having it on the computer will help you in deciding where goes where.

Done. Now it's time to draw! Whooo!

The method I'm using is for beginners. Most of the time, we (beginners) cannot draw free hand. Right? And when we do, either the head is too big or the body is too big or one eye is bigger than the other. So to counter that problem, we'll use guidelines. Here's what we do.

I'm going to draw this anime character, Shana from shakugan no shana.

Now prepare your paper and draw a line in the middle like this. Do it horizontally and vertically.

Step 1:

Step 2:

Step 3:

Remember to use the pencil with a lighter shade and don't press too hard when you're drawing. This is because all this guidelines will be erased when we're done. Pressing too hard will make it really hard to erase and it'll look ugly with lines all around your masterpiece. You don't have to be very accurate with the 'middle' thing. Just gauge roughly will do as long as it's not too crooked or out of alignment.

Next, do the same to your print out.

If you noticed, most of the drawing will fall in the right half of the paper. Now, we do this step by step. Divide the top right box into more grids. What you do is really just draw a line in the middle over and over again until you're happy with the size. Do the same to your print out.

Here's what my printout look like.

Your drawing should look abit like this.

As you see, the guideline practically tells you how wide the curve should be and how straight the line should be, etc. Therefore, all you have to do is draw according to what you see in the printout. For example, 1st row 2nd box from the right in the print out should be the same as the 1st row 2nd box from the right in your drawing.

As and when you find that you need more guidelines, just continue dividing the boxes and do the same in your printout. The more boxes there are, the more proportionate and accurate your drawing will be.

Here's what I did.

As you can see, I'm putting in more guidelines so that it makes it easier for me to draw. Of course, you dont have to be super accurate with the lines, gauge roughly and have fun.

When drawing the eyes, do spend more time on them. Make sure they're proportionate because anime do focus on their eyes after all.

Finally, all done. Now you'll need to clean up the drawing. Time to erase all the guidelines and darken the outlines of the drawing.

And you're done for now. Yay!!

Now fill in the eyes and you'll get this:

Dont panic if your drawing looks abit weird. I know mine does. But the reason is.. you have not done the shading yet! So do on and shade in the shadows. For this part, you can use guidelines to help you if the shadows are big and nicely cut but otherwise you'll have to rely on freehand shading (is there such a term?). Once the shadings is in, it'll look perfect.

I dont have a picture of my drawing with the shadings because I was too lazy busy.

Psst: To increase my credibility that this method can work, here's a few of my drawings done in the past.

Here's rukia from bleach.

Kisuke Urahara from Bleach.

And dizzy from gulity gear X.

Yes! Mad long post is finally done. Alright, have fun drawing! Outta here, bye!

Leonid Meteor Shower and wishes.

I had a wonderful night. A wonderful night.

I was being mesmerised-truly, madly, deeply- by the beautiful sight of Leonid Meteor Shower. Though I have no companion with me at that unearthly hours, my ipod kept my lonely ears occupied with soothing feelings.

"Have I found you? Flightless bird.."

I felt like swirling around the empty, quiet space, under the greylish black sky with scattered stars- there are shiny ones, faint ones, adorable ones, and the inseparable 3 little, conspicuous stars that formed a short, straight, slanting line.

Lovely mood, wasn't it?

Head looking skyward, arms were wide opened-as if I was about to take a flight and fly towards the very first kind of darkness I want to get close with- while everything, or anything was swirling and swirling around in sync with the rhythm of a song.

The appearance of meteor stars added the finishing touches to the sublime beauty of the night.

One by one, it came in sequence, I can spot a pair in just split second. Sometimes it came all by its own, yet the spark never cease to amaze me.

Make a wish then, that was my friend's calm reply after I shared my happiness like a silly child who had received candy as her first gift.

Yet, I struggled at the attempts of making wishes, when innocent looking meteor star robbed the thought of what I can wish for effortlessly.

I just have to mentally, repeatedly mumbling what I wish for while searching for another surprising surprise in the empyrean sphere.

Disappointment once.

Failed twice.

Regretted thrice.

Finally, the last attempt disclosed a beautiful full stop for the extraordinary night.

=)

I felt as if I am in love again.

Will they remember me? And successfully carried my overweight wishes to fairy godmother?

I hope it did.

Bicylcers.

Today I was happily walking on a road (the kind meant for humans to walk on, of course, not for cars to drive on) and *RING!* came a bike, and it was slightly over a metre behind me.

As a form of instant reaction, I had no idea where to shun towards. To my left? To my right? I began to clumsily jostle myself sideways, on the spot. The bike came into contact with me - no physical injuries at all, luckily.

But it wasn't a very pleasant experience either. I happened to be wearing a Lolita dress, and as you know, Lolita dresses tend to be expensive and lacey. All I needed was some lace to get caught in his bike and my pricey dress would be ruined, and I will have to attend a formal event in a wrecked dress. Thankfully that didn't happen.

~*~*~

I have a grandmother, I call her Ah Ma. <3

One day Ah Ma and I were watching the news on TV. It was reported, then, that a new invention - a portable, fold-able bicycle - has been introduced. With more people riding bikes, carbon emission shall decline, and global temperatures fall. Everybody's happy, right?

No.

"骑轿车的吓死人，那么粗如，等一下撞倒我。”
"Bikers are scary, they are so rough, they may knock me over."

Ah Ma goes shopping for groceries nearly everyday. And she is afraid of the spike in the number of bikers. They zwoom down the streets swiftly, ringing bells late, or simply swoosh by with no warning.

~*~*~

What is my point?

It is obvious that the bikes are going to stay, and the biking population is definitely going to increase.

Bikes aren't bad at all. I prefer the odourless bikes to our smelly carbon-emitting engines.

The problem is not with the existence of bicycles on our pathways, but it is their behaviour that I feel should be changed.

If you ride a bike, it'll be nice if you could pay more attention to the following:

1. Ring your bell/shout/holler/alert pedestrians early. Don't do it twenty centimetres before contact.
2. Take note of who the pedestrians are. For example, you should really really slow down if you see children/senior citizens/any crippled persons around. Even if you don't crash into them, fact is that some people will feel intimidated when a vehicle suddenly zooms past them with no warning. You gain nothing from scaring a man, a woman, or a child, who is completely unaffiliated to you, so why do so?
3. When using the traffic lights, zebra crossings or overhead bridges to cross the road, ALWAYS, ALWAYS get your butt off your bike and push your bike as you walk. The law is there for a reason.
4. If you frequently travel at night/early morning, the roads are going to be dark. So it would be good if you could somehow light up certain parts of your bike - perhaps with light sticks or some AC motor-powered christmas lights. A torchlight would be fine too. This makes it easier for oncoming pedestrains to shun you.
5. Don't get a bell that's too soft. Some pedestrians plug in to their mp3's, some elderly folk are slightly deaf in a ear, whatever it is, you should get a bell that is audible to some boy blasting his music on his earpieces.

Well, I hope this helps somehow. :l

Please stop scaring my Ahma and threatening to destroy my clothes when we walk on the streets. Thanks :D

Finally, APEC 2009 came to an end last Sunday.

I had a great time there, other than doing my job such as covering multiple relevant events, meetings, press conferences, i also made friends with many foreign journalists from various agencies like BBC, XinHua, and taiwanese tv stations...

met US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton @ a flash press conference.

Chef Wolfgang from Swiss Ottel interviewed by Taiwan media TVBS

Taiwan Special Envoy Lien Chen interviewed during one of the press conference.

Same as above.

Tiger was the official sponsor, and why should we save money for them? LOL... ITS TIGER TIME! :lols:

US President Barack Obama, he was standing so far i can only take a pic of him from another cameraman..

And of cos, how can we forget about our PM Lee Hsien Long at the APEC Closing Press Briefing.

Overall the whole setup, media arrangement was alright except for the pool inteview thing is abit confusing..

but it has been a great event so far! :)
