Model scouts? Not?

On Friday, I was walking to Bugis Mrt station (right outside Topshop) and was approached immediately by a woman who had a heavy china accent.


Woman: "Err... You singaporean?"
Me: "Umm, yes?"
Woman: "I'm from Create Talents company and I would like to edghffgkfhjrkgh"
Me: "What???"
Woman: "Can you speak chinese?"
Me: "Yeah.."
Woman: "你要上电视广告和杂志吗?" (You want to be on tv advertisement and magazine advertorial?)
Me: *stares at her*
Woman: Here, this is my name card. Please give me your number and I'll contact you when there's any attachments.
Me: "....... Why me?"
Woman: "Erm, cos I saw you from far then you look quite cute."
Me: "Er.. Okay."


It was weird, because usually china women wouldn't be the ones approaching. I was so shocked lor!!


I went to googled their website, and it looked so decent and nice! Haha, they worked for a few projects such as Starhub, pizza hut etc.

Looked too good to be true. so I went to google "Create Talents scam" and there were many complaints about it scamming a sum of money from other victims..


People were cheated out of their money because the company will sweet talk them to pay a sum of $300-$500 for photoshoots for their portfolio, and that's it. After that they will completely ignore them after that.

And in Tyra Banks's show, if a particular modelling company is really interested in grooming you into a model, they will bear all costs and expenses without you to pay a single cent.



Oh well...
