Glad To Know Someone

Alot of people come and go in my life. Some stay. Some left. But it doesn't really matter how long they stay or how fast they leave, its the impact they've made in your life.
For past 2yrs or so, I've been so caught up with my mundane life that I didn't realise I haven been meeting new people. The only new people I've met are working colleagues that I need to liase with at work. Conversation topics are mostly regarding work, work and still work..
But this year, I dunno whether its because of fate or I've open myself to knowing new people, or because my perception and paradigm has changed. I'm glad I know and met some nice friendly people.
Despite the age range, I see varying opinions of life at different age level. Through different phases of life, people just think differently. And the challenge of communicating with different age range people is to find a common interest topic.
For example with aunties, they love talking about kids, cooking, baking etc. I forced myself to get interested in at least one of their topics, and now I realised im interested to pick up baking or cooking. Even i surprised myself, coz I never thought i would be interested in that field. lol. But hey, at least now I can pick up a thing or two about cooking just listening to them and genuinely feel interested.
The most interesting people are people who make you see the fun and joy in the life. The few mentors you met in life, are people who try to guide you, correct you and make you see what they see in you. Thereafter, its up to you to think and process and decide for yourself what you want to change in you.
Anyway, just think of these questions.
When is the last time you feel glad to know someone?
Who are the people who make good impact in you?
Cherish the people who make you a better person. If people managed to change you, learn to help others too. Really, give more, expect less.
Just some random thoughts today.
