i'm not going to set a number. it will depend on how good the photos are and how well they capture the event. Shldn't be a problem for ppl to just submit all the photos they got on the event right? Unless really too many lah....

Pls upload the photos in the photos section under 'Local Events' and please name the album properly with the month and year of the event eg. Singapore Toy and Comic Convention 2008 - Feb08. If you don't remember the month, then leave it blank. Once it is uploaded, you will be paid

tks saw it. but i don't think it's good enough. if you had more of NDP alone, it might be good. About the comic convention, TOXIC has already submitted one set. So i don't really need one more.

I do have a bit more (exclusive, behind-the-scenes, etc) photos from the Samsung Inline Skating event. But.. actually, they are not for sale.. so yup, I'm afraid these photos can only serves as a sample exclusively for my dear fellow SGClubbers at absolutely zero dollars. *GRINS*

Anyway, hope my sample photos can enable interested photographers to have a better idea of what you are looking for. ^^

As a normal member of SGClub, I still feel that the main focus should be on SGClubbers and it'll more meaningful if the photos are more personalized. But I guess you are taking the more commercialized approach. (At least it seems that way to me.) Nonetheless, I will respect your decision.

But well, I'll still continue to post my personalized outing photos (for free, and with great pleasure) during the outings / feedback threads for everyone to see.. but provided me and my camera are around during the outings, of course! ^^

I hope that sgclub can be a place for singaporeans to find out abt things that happen and to see what is going on around us. Just like a magazine, that publishes pictures of various events, i hope to develop our photo section such that it becomes a big library of photos to capture all the things that have taken place.

The photo section will still have its personalize photo portions and i encourage everyone to keep uploading your outing photos and stuff, but i'm just increasing the scope of it so that more ppl can appreciate more stuff

I understand your intentions. I also feel that it'll good for SGClubbers to have access to the info and photos of the latest events in SG or maybe even in the whole world! ^^

Then again.. although I'd like to be updated with the latest events in SG, I would still be more interested in what is going on in MY 'family'.

But since you want to have the photos of local events so much.. even to the extend of willing to pay SGD for good ones.. does that mean you place more emphasize on local events rather than focusing on SGClubbers and our outings. Hence, is it implying that our little Sgc outings are too insignifcant and unimportant.. compared to the local events?

To put it simply..

Your preferance - Magazine style
> Main focus is on major events

My preferance - Newsletter style
> Main focus is on Sgclubbers' outings.. be it small kopi sessions or major ktv / makan sessions.

Come to think of it, we dont seem to have any major forum outing at all..? At least not since I've joined SGClub. I'd participated in 1 of OGK's major event in 1 of the clubs.. At MOS? Cant remember.. 1 or 2 hundreds of us were there.. I think? Freaking cool!

Looking forward to a major event like that in SGClub too! (I will surely bring my camera along. ^^)

Hope I dont need to clarify myself further. (Anyway I dont intend to. I think I've made it very clear. If I still need to explain any further, it's pointless.)

Like I said, I respect your decision.. even though it's not really what I like. But well, you are the owner of this forum while I'm just 1 of the many SGClubbers in here.. hope my comments are helpful though!

simplepris, it's not that club events are less important, but i can only do so much at one time. since there has been no photo galleries of local events before, i'm starting this initiative to get the ball rolling. perhaps i shld emphasize on club outings first, but when i saw the gallery section, this was one of my first thoughts about adding photos of local events. i will look into club outing photos subsequently, now that u have raised this point.

sorry, but what's OGK? i do think it will be cool to have a major club party, but as i'm still getting the hang of things around here, this type of major project will need to wait for awhile as it is a massive effort, and one i'm not sure i can handle right now. give it some time, i do agree with u, a SGC party wld be awesome
