I thought i heard that RI this year was very badly done with 75% A and B and 50% As?

Also heard that nyjc got above 90% As and RV 94%. I heard JJC was quite well done with 60% As. Not sure if it is reliable or not though.

Anyways, my school this year break record with the lowest no. of student getting As in history and the 2nd lowest in terms of percentage. (The percentage of As in JJC is even higher than the number of students who got As in my school, lol) (

Re: 2010 A Level Project Work Results

I'm from NYJC and I got an A! Extremely happy esp since this year's moderation's much more than last year and I heard %A's across the country was lower than the norm. Anyway all the hard work has paid off!

Advice to the current J1s, put in your best effort for PW! Yes, it's extremely painful work with all the sleepless nights especially towards the end where you'll have to juggle between WR and OP, but press on! (: And, do work well with your teammates!

Re: 2010 A Level Project Work Results

HCI - 93%
NJC - 75%
SRJC - 89.9% (no elitism here but it is really unexpected)

Pls help to contribute to the list. I don't think NYJC did well this year. What about RJC, VJC, TJC, MJC?

Re: 2010 A Level Project Work Results

MJC got hit by extreme moderation again this year. Bad enough for the principal to not even say the percentage number of A's. So I went to count, wasn't too hard. 40.9% A's, handful of C's and majority B. I personally got a B. I hope they can finally build a bridge and get over the fact that we did achieve 97% A's just two years ago and stop with the crazy moderation.

I haven't heard of any other JCs lower than MJC currently, but I did hear from my friend in SAJC that his school did a little better, and VJC about 45-ish.

Advice to current J1s, don't count on it. ):

Heard CJC 70% A/B - which is pretty bad.

Wow you counted?!

Yep, I'd be lying if I said it was difficult. I could practically skip across pages in a flash while counting the A's. Even the teachers in my school did not expect this.

Looking at SRJC's results, I applaud their work, must not have been easy for them. But no prizes in guessing which is the next JC to be in line for major moderating techniques in years to come.

Re: 2010 A Level Project Work Results

Just saw one of my NYJC kids-only she and another of her team out of 4 scored an A, the rest Bs.
She told me that only about 40% scored As for PW, and apparently its even worse over at PJC, where its only 5%.

Just to address the phrase "I haven't heard of any other JCs lower than MJC currently". PJC got 5% distinction this year (36 students if you want to be exact).

Re: 2010 A Level Project Work Results

I'm from SRJC and we did get 89.9% As, 9.9% Bs, 0.1% C. Which makes that only 1 person getting C. If you're wondering where the other 0.1% went to, its probably because they rounded down. My tutor's students all got Distinctions. 1 B though sad :s. I didn't think we'd do so well considering I got 2 testers, 1 internal moderator and 2 external moderators. X.X

As for the line of major moderations don't count on it being too harsh. Our tutors are crazy with the tiny details.

Regardless whether your results turned out to be good or bad, its all in the past. Look foward and focus on the next big thing aka your A levels.
