Yea that's quite expensive!

Maybe try to get some scholarships? I think it's easier to get grants/funding in US unis, but they also cost more so it might end up being roughly the same lol.
Sorry, I'm really not familiar with aviation courses. Maybe you should ask the agents (although to be honest I don't think they will be quite knowledgeable too). Try emailing various unis?

And how is the discrimination (esp against asians) over there?
I thought I'd ask here because the agents might not give as accurate an answer. Haha. |
Hmmm, this question is quite difficult to answer because it really depends on the individual. For me, I found it pretty easy, while others struggled a bit more. I have some S'porean friends who did not get into Melbourne Uni, but they did end up at Monash, which isn't too bad either. For my year (in 2005), it was about 85 (out of 100) to do law, 75 to do commerce or arts, 98 to do medicine (when they still had the course). These numbers seem high, but the average is pretty high to begin with so I think you should have no trouble getting the grades to enter your preferred course. Bear in mind that some uni courses have prerequisite subjects that you have to do in your foundation year.
I won't deny that there isn't any discrimination against Asians. I've had some experiences but people are generally really nice and are intolerant of racism. And sometimes the locals even defend you and tell the racist people off. I think every country has its fair share of discrimination even Singapore. But it really shouldn't put you off.
