Cool Re: AIA products now available through IFA

if a other FA can sell GE products, wats the issue here????

anyway most matured economies no longer haf tied agents liao...
if i m not worng, even Prudential in UK haf directed all their products to IFAs...
no tied agents even in their own home country...

but we can see the trend sweepin in in SG bit by bit...

FYI.. the only FA group that can represent GEL are all tied agents from GEL whom seek permission themselves from company to register themselves and to act as a brokerage.

tracing back to the roots... they're still GEL agents themselves..

a big difference.. between a 3rd party IFA and a owned subsidary...

insurance companies has no direct control over a 3rd party IFA...

GE Holdings can order this one and only FA group to close down if they go against company's directions.

i don't not how true is it for matured economies to have lesser tied agents...

however GEL is pro agency... difference would be culture of a traditional thinking company that treasures human relationship... and profits orientated company in those matured economies.

Chance for GEL to go into a 3rd party IFA is very much unlikely. unless change of CEO..

You are right. Its not really such a big deal. Comparatively, IFA might not even sell GE products if they have it in their stable because comparatively, other companies give better value. for some products.

it s a fact tat matured economies r clearin up their tied agencies n tappin into IFAs to an extent tat there s no more or little tied agents left...
mayb u can check on US, UK, Australia etc...
SG govt has always been copyin them in tis sense...
sad n tragic news for tied agents....

mayb u like to check on GE portion being represented by IFAs too...
it seem u r rather unfamiliar wz the industry u r workin in...
at least more unfamiliar than some of us here...

hmm.. actually i dun mind aunty uncles for insurance agent. in fact more sense of security thinking they know what they are doing.
prudential's young work force is probably due to the aggressive recruitment... yea... very aggressive.

from management trainee to assistant sales executive they gave it all kinda names and ppl walked into interviews and get closed by the idea that financial line is blooming. of coz its not totally wrong just not so direct way of recruitment and it actually brought in a lot of fresh blood
