Am I overtraining?

Hello people,

Need some help here.

I do High Intensity Interval Training for 20 mins on a treadmill.Then I do weight training for an hour.So, i spent 1 and a half hour in the gym in total.i do this on Mon, Wed and Fri.

I also run outdoors for 1 hour on rest days like Tues and Thurs.

Am I overtraining?Should I stop running on my rest days?I really want to lose weight and gain muscle....

PS - I am 16 and i am a guy....79kg 1.83m

PS - I am 16 and i am a guy....79kg 1.83m
not really... but depending on how intense your gym routine is, you might want to lower your gym duration to 45 mins instead.

I think the weight training lasts too long, maybe can reduce it to half hour or sth..the rest seems alright.

Are you overtraining? No way.

You are not training that hard to be overtrained.

Underrecovering is a possiblity though.

Judge by how you feel. If you haven't recovered before the next High Intensity session, then probably underrecovering.

One more. Generally do weight training first before cardio.

You should change your routine.

Weight training days - just do light warm up then focus on different body parts.
Cardio / HITT - on 2 days

Example
Mon - Lower Body (45min)
Tue - Cardio / HITT (30min)
Wed - Upper Body (45min)
Thu - Cardio / HITT (30min)
Fri - Abs (30min)

The purpose of gym is to train effectively with the shortest time.
Example
You can do 100 crunches easily but if you try doing hand and leg raise together you might only be able to do like 30.
Quality > Quantity

All I can see it your legs need some break.

You ain't over training.

unless you didn't mention about every night you have parties in your pants with your arms then probably too much exercise for a day.
