I'm the first to pay for my 3 contact lens & nearly 2 months pass yet there is
TOTALLY no news from the seller even tho I sms her that I'll
resort in taking legal action against her after failing to reach her.
still......
NO REPLY NO NEWS NO UPDATES
(maybe she thinks I would nt go thru so much trouble just for the sake of troublesome?)
she simply just abandon the blogshop with my money away.
but let me tell u, money involve is really a VERY SMALL amount - SG$39 only
But frankly speaking it is nt the money issue it is a matter of principle PLUS I really hate the feeling of being con!
I understand that some scammer make use of certain point to tackle the victims, some common eg (in the past) are:
1. Police would not persue the case for the victims as money involve is nt big. Normally they would advise victims to forget abt the incident.
2. If victims insist to persue the case, police officer would advise victims to take the police report & proceed to the subcourt & file a claim against the scammer. (this is where ppl starts to 'afraid' of trouble & back out.
If u just back out u are as good as letting the scammer went scott-free & continue to open new blogshop to prey on their new victims.
I JUST FOUND OUT TODAY THAT
our SPF (Singapore Police Force) has set up an online 24hr report services!
(*p.s IF someone post this info before, pls pardon me for repeating it!)
and I just file a report against this scammer!
IF the police ask me to go to the court & file a claim on the scammer as they can do nth abt it (like what I encounter last yr)
Than I'll proceed to PI help to get the owner of the acc no. (which I transfer my payment to) full name & address. The rest, I'll just handle it to my lawyer to handle =D
simple But tme consuming.
I don't mind as long as the scammer learnt his/her lesson.
and to pass the message clear that, don't think u can scam & got scott free in SG UPDATES
Just now my in charge officer called me (AT 11.12am) & ask me for my transaction details (as shown in the atm receipt) like the scammer acc no. etc & They are going to get the scammer details from the bank now & the O.I is gonna contact him/her directly.
wow....!!! Our SPF has change so much! which is really something I feel very happy of & I must admit that they do handle things very fast now as in replying my reports via emails & call & they always keep me update on the progress. most importantly, they do not ignore small amt fraud case anymore! another point to add.. pursuing a case will only leave you poorer than the initial money lost.. PIs and lawyers cost 100s.... but hey, if its in the name of principle and you do not mind. i support ya

never delete any sms / email in between both of u (no matter how many times u deal w them before)untill ur item reach u because that serves as supported edvience. Best is to prevent using normal mail coz some seller claim item lost in mail which is unlikely. Wow we need more of people like you around. I also believe its a matter of principle. Even if it costs me thousands of dollars just to bring that scammer to justice, I will do it. I need to let him suffer in jail then I happy. Haha!
