Any babes here successfully slim down?

I have been putting a lot of weight especially on my thigh. I try to cycle and walk a lot but it seems like it doesn't work. I try to cut down on rice & meat. What should I do? Slimming tea?

Re: Any babes here successfully slim down?

I have successfully slim down from 58kg to 48kg. I cut down on all sugar intake (soft drinks and sweets) and I exercised on a regular basis like 3 times a week. If you want to lose weigh, you should be cutting down on the carbohydrates (rice, noodles, flour) intake not meat.

I cut down on mostly snacks, ate less(but healthily) and went for a 3km jog daily until I reached my desired weight

Actually I ate everything but reduced my rice intake from 1 bowl to half a bowl, I eat all the side dishes till I feel full. Meat is definitely okay, if you only eat vegetables, you will see yourself turning yellow. Avoid fast food, especially those fried ones, the rest should be okay.

But I stick strictly to eating at regular hours. Breakfast is a must (it helps increase your metabolism rate at the start of the morning, it's like helping you to start your engine for the rest of the day as well). If you intend to skip lunch then eat small meals in between (maybe a bun or some fruit juices). Dinner never to exceed 9pm. Don't eat too fast, like gobble up everything in 5 minutes, eat with slower pace (10-15 mins) cos if you eat too fast, you won't feel full that quickly which makes you eat more as compared to when you eat slowly. Throughout the whole period, plain water is the only liquid I drink.

And sleeping early helps cos your body will be able to regenerate and digest whatever you ate at a better rate.

If you don't have time to exercise, then do some basic stretching for at least 10-15 minutes, stretching will help you tone your muscles and you will look slimmer through that.

All these are based on my dance instructor's strict control of us so that we look tip top during our annual performance. But ultimately, it's more on how you adjust your lifestyle and diet and exercising will help fasten your pace of slimming down (must emphasize on this, dieting is not the way, you will look super unhealthy).

I jog or swim, plus I have dance practices like twice a week last time.

Exercising need not be those vigorous types, you can jog at the speed of people walking or swim 3 laps only, the whole idea is to get yourself to move and sweat, that way you will burn fats. Each session should last at least 30 minutes, otherwise you won't start burning your fats.

Now I just do some stretching when I'm free since I'm not longer dancing, or do slow jogging with my dog. Once you slim down, you must still exercise or else, you will grow back again unless you are those who are originally very skinny in the first place.

Yoga is one of the best exercise, stretches every inch of your muscles. My dance instructor used to make us do yoga, just simple stretching not those leg over head kind.

No, you can only tone your muscle which will make it looks firmer rather than flabby (which also means looks smaller).

Then, you will have to cut from your drinks and snacks. Go for stuff with lower sugar level and exercise.

Re: Any babes here successfully slim down?

Try drinking fruit juices for 3 days. And only start eating light meals on day 4. My sis does that and losses 3kg. But I'm not sure if it works for everyone. For me, I'll just peel and eat apples and drink lots of water for 3 days. It helps too.

Lol yeah i'm curious as well.. since 58 at the start is pretty low already and i think that the speed of weight loss would be alot slower.

Perhaps you shouldn't jog, some people don't know how to jog in the proper way so their legs just become thicker and thicker. Try doing stretching or if you have time, go for pilates (works like miracle, it's mainly foot work and you can really feel the stretch and aches after the whole session even though you have been laying on the floor all the time).

It does work but it's very unhealthy cos it's like you are totally surviving on fruits which is definitely not supplying yourself with enough energy. Your skin might become loose and stretch marks may appear if you slim down too quickly.

I lost 8kg in less than 3 weeks. But that period, I was forced to do that due to my dance performance which requires me to do rehearsal every single day so I'm like exercising everyday intensively for at least 5 hours. Subsequently, another 2 kg off after the whole performance was over. Then, I have been maintained at the weight between 48kg to 50kg.
