Is there any good in drinking soft drink?

Many have asked, it is ok to drink soft drink? Now let me explain what is soft drink? Soft drink by definition is actually non-alcoholic beverages of carbonated water mixed with sugur plus artificial flavour or colour. Unfortunately most soft drinks contained large amount of sugar and acid. Some soft drinks are known to contain as much as 10 teaspoon of sugar. Soft drink like Coke contains about 170 calories of sugar for a 250ML. The high amount of sugar lead to weight gain and other weight related diseases. The hign amount of acid also lead to dental decay.

Many soft drinks also contain large amount caffeine. A typical can of soft drink contains about 50 mg. of caffeine which is equivalent to 4 cups of coffee. Too much caffeine may raise blood pressure and cause irregular headbeats.The high amount of sugar and caffeine in soft drinks can be very addictive and you can be addicted to it just like you are addicted to drugs. Drinking too much caffeine can cause headaches, chest pain and other sickness.

Then the next questions is, how about drinking Diet Soft drink for example Coke Light or Coke Zero? The truth is diet soft drink may be calorie free and sugar free. However the truth is diet soft drink are known to contain artificial sweeteners and other processed chemical that are known to be very unhealthy. Many have reported that the artificial sweeteners such as aspartame or saccharin are known to cause harmful effects like migraine headaches, joint pain in both knees,extreme fatigue and lack of concentration. In addition to that artificial soda tends to contain more caffeine that a regular soft drink.
Aspartame is one of the ingredients that can cause the side effects that I list above, plus many others. Aspartame is used in many food products, and yes, it is approved by the FDA, but I think, as you investigate for yourself, you will find enough evidence to agree that there is something to all the claims of health problems associated with it. Diet drinks are linked to many health situations including diabetes, obesity, blood pressure problems and other diseases.

Overall i feel you should avoid soft drinks(Both normal and diet) as much as you can if you want to have a healthier lifestyle. If you have to drink it, limit yourself to 1 can per week. For health reason please do not drink it too much. As the saying goes water is still the best. Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily to maintain good health. Water is calories free and you will be more healthy drinking it. Let drink to life together

I used to be addicted with Coke! I drink one liter in a day because it makes me awake. But I'm paying the toll now.

Now I'm in water therapy and I'm improving so far..

Yes indeed plain water is the best. Fruit juice is great too. But make sure is freshly squeezed juice with no added sugar. Avoid can fruit juice as it is full of added sugar
