I don't know if you guys heard about this...
Try this, The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold.
Plot introduction [search; From wikipedia]
In 1973, a 14-year-old girl named Susie Salmon is raped, murdered, and dismembered by a neighbor. Over the next few years she watches from a personalized heaven as her family and friends deal with their grief. She sometimes becomes angry and frustrated from the choices her family makes while looking over them.

Total SGC$: 252.77 | Re: Any nice books recommend? Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks - Probably the most 'adult' book I've ever read. And no, I don't mean the sex stuffs. It's very emotional, voted as Britain's favourite book once. How I live now by Meg Rosoff - The writing style is amazing. Die Mitte Der Welt (Centre of my World) by Andreas Steinhöfel - A great book I've read recently, originally written in German. Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom - Life-changing. There's a thread here on it too
Et cetera XD

Dave pezler books are not bad, but i dislike his second 1, the lost boy. Others are ok.
Kite runner is good but Thousand splendid suns is way better.
I love other crimes and terrorists books which don't seems suitable with u girls here.. But recommend me such books!
