I can see that now lots of girls love the Twilight saga: Twilight, New moon, Eclipse, Breaking dawn. I did read the first two, and I think they are quite ok .
I love The Da Vinci Code and all the old novels of Alexandre Dumas as well as Jules Verne.

I think Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic books are very light and it's best for someone who's really bored. Chic- lit never fails (:

mostly about crime but very intriguing - unlike the typical crime novels that just drag on.
must read! i recommend 'nineteen minutes' | Nineteen Minutes is actually a 'sequel' to Perfect Match. This is not official but I say this because the character of Patrick Ducharme, the police officer, is 'reused'.

Twilight series is gd, true.
Anyway, my fav author is still Tamora Pierce.
Yea, kiddy books. All her serieses are really good.
Listing:
Books which occur in Tortall: (in order of time periods)
Songs of the Lioness Series
The Immortals Series
The Protector of the Small Series
Trickster Series- Trickster's Choice and Trickster's Queen
Others:
The Magic Circle Series
The Circle Opens Series
The Emperess
Yea, most of the main characters and heroes are girls, making it quite cool!
A J Butcher's Spyhigh Series is quite good, really hard to get from the library.
I only read the first book...
Robert Muchamore's CHERUB Series is also on kid spies. TOTALLY LOVE IT!
Can't rmb anymore, but there r loads i luv

A child called ''It'' is really a great book!
I recommend '' My English Teacher''. Quite humourous writing by an indian writer.
