u can buy masks...in fact, i'll be going there next week...i already have frends asking me to help them buy masks...u can go to COSMED which is like our watson...they have cheap masks...
Shoes are very cheap as well..most importantly they r comfortable...cheapest one is less than S$10. U can check out the shoes either @ nite market if not @ the underground mall @ taipei main station.
For clothes, can go to Wufenpu(五分埔)its a wholesale market, very big...but best is many pple go together, then the shops will b more willing to give discount...the clothes there r usually free sized and no trying is allowed in most shops unless its boutique.

i travelled to a few places this time....hotels in the southern part are cheaper, food is nicer n cheaper as well...so i prefer shopping in taichung n southern part instead.
this time round i took SQ, so inclusive of tax around $1000+

Their night markets are fantastic for cheap ladies' clothes. If you like tea, you must get their Alishan tea...

Just back from taiwan not long ago. Chose a bad time to travel to taiwan as i went there when the typhoon is there. But did some shopping.
- You can buy their local products for example "feng li su", "tai yang bing" from alot places ( i bought mine at XiMenDing area ), or you can go to DanShui and buy their "tie dan", "yu su" which is not bad too.
- For clothes, definitely got to go to WuFenPu for it, i bought most of my clothes there, Shilin Night Market will be another place to go for clothes, but i didnt have much time able to go to Shilin Night Market due to the heavy rain during typhoon period, Or if you dont mind the price much, you can try XiMenDing area too, but best is go there at night time as night time XiMenDing area have roadside stalls, provided the police is not there.
- If you are into beauty products, you can go to their shops like watsons, cosmed, MoMo to shop for beauty products such as masks and cosmetics. I went there and bought some back too, is really cheaper than in Singapore for some of the products. I did some research of prices before i went to Taiwan so im aware of the price.
- For shoes you have to go to the Taipei main station Underground mall for sure, the shoes there is very cheap now, quite alot of shoes selling at around SGD$10 each only and there are lots of different design too.
- For me i still went to Breeze center to get the Nu Ren Wo Zui Da products, quite alot of products there too, quality also not bad, spent quite alot there, if you into books, u might go to the book store at breeze center too, think the bookstore not bad too, bought some books back from there.
- For bags im not sure where is cheap but i went to WuFenPu and failed to find cheap bags, but end up i went to Raohe Night Market which is near WuFenPu and bought some bags back.
My things i bought from mainly city places, due to the typhoon i wasnt able to travel much. Hope to go Taiwan again |
