Actually, if it wasn't clear enough, this thread is also for meeting Singaporeans in Japan before I go to Singapore in January.

Shiga is the prefecture name I asssume, but what is the name of the city/area where you took that photo with the river?

LOL I see, I've seen you around for a while here, your understanding of Japan made me almost think you too are living here. XD

That river...it's at Oumi Hachiman, a bus ride from the train station with the same name. We didn't intend to be there until the tourist information centre told us, a lot of Taiga dramas use that area for their location shoot...
