hi would like to know where to purchase iphone from sim lim.
There was a newspaper report saying can buy umlocked phone from sim lim.
However, when i went to ask, most of the stalls sales give me like a blank look.
Kindly advise me on where can i purchase. Thanks in advance

Yeah, the news said that all retailers which display Iphone for sale must remove it. Got warning already, but still, there'll be phones lurking underground. But becareful not to get the latest one which is 1.1.2/1.1.3 OTB. Not unlockable using software updates.

Erm. The iPhone is really sh*t in my opinion -- your phone would be held hostage to Apple for new software updates because Apple wouldn't allow anyone to develop applications for it; which means you can't download stuff from mobile9.com etc.
And Apple has claimed that the iPhone was three devices in one: an iPod, a phone, and an "Internet communications device." Using Jobs' loose definition of what constitutes a separate device, technically my laptop can be considered 7 devices in one:
# A clock
# A calculator
# An "Internet communications device"
# A phone (I can make voice calls with my modem)
# A video player
# A word processor
# And an "iPod"
There's no such thing as an iPod. The word "iPod" is a marketing tool for a hard drive with software that plays mp3s. And an "internet communications device" is officially the douchebaggiest way of saying "it has a browser."
So actually it's just a phone that plays mp3s and has a browser.
Right.
And Nokia uses a technology that's even more advanced than the iPhone's tap screen, allowing you to actually feel the keys you press as you're pressing them! The technology is called "tactile response," and it allows you to do things like dial a phone number.
In fact, every other cellphone ever made has this technology, sometimes called "buttons."

What do you mean by held hostage ?
I think that iPhone is pretty cool, everyone has their own preference I believe yours would never be iPhone. Some people might think that buttons popping out from phones are way too common and they want something new. Some might think that on screen keyboard/keypad would be redundant. But see, wouldn't it be bored when everyone uses the same thing ? I think it would.
I wouldn't say that this post is wrong but I find it pretty harsh and hostile towards iPhone. No offence !

the cost of iphone in usd is arnd 300. so u multiply by 1.5 (u.s rates haf drop from 1.6 to 1.5) for sgd. yes u will find it cheap. singapore is planning to sell it above 1k. definitely.

I had use the 4gb iphone b4....it all about preference and usage...basically, i find iphone is a revolutionary of touchscreen IU that hopefully gonna change the concept of other maker....cos it truely the best UI i ever use...maybe if Apple willing to listen to the end user what to improve and include, it will make this phone a Hits..sadly, cos of it tied down to telco...it kill it image...but well, if i got chance to get a hand to iphone, I will still use it...basically, it something new and it work so well...esp wifi and internet surfing..btw, heard it gonna launch somewhere between jan to feb 08..hotly debating now in some forum...
