Arrogant Indian expat abusing a local security guard in Singapore

Arrogant Indian expat abusing a local security guard in Singapore

Comments quote from youtubers:

(1)From Ppos Exposed:
How security guard suppose to react

Indian guy : I bought this property for 1.5 million

Security : err no bruh, your bank bought this property with their money as Long you heven finish your loan technically it’s not your property

(2) From Kenny Ee
This incident has sparked huge social media following. From the comments, this man not only was extremely arrogant, he claimed to possess educational qualifications which got him a high paying job with JP Morgan. In searches and comments at Facebook and Forums at Singapore Hardware Zone, they are of the opinions that his educational qualifications are all fake. A man of letters will not behave in such an arrogant and disrespectful manner, so what is a $1.5m condo in Singapore? but he could not afford a $10 parking fee? maybe it is a great fortune in India for a $1.5m condo for a poor man, so it is time Singapore deports such a man of low calibre back to his own country! It is also time for the PAP government to rethink of meritocracy and foreign talents which have deeply upset Singaporeans for abuses since the PAP government introduced these policies.

Re: Arrogant Indian expat abusing a local security guard in Singapore

You have to look at the issue the problem and not the person. From the video I think it relates to parking the vehicle at the designated place. You need to pay $10. So when the security tells you this is condo rule just pay the money and be done with it. In the video clearly when the arrogant guy refuse to look at the problem the issue, instead uses his race (like he is Indian, well I meet lots of Indians everyday what's the big deal?) and religion (like its their festival), clearly this leads to problems and an ignition point to racial unrest. People who are Indians may support and approved of his words. That's how racial riots and conflicts happen in other countries. Sorry but not here in Singapore. We are a multi-racial country and we practise tolerance. We look at the issue the problem not the person. When we stand up we stand up as an individual. When you have a problem solve it and not derail and deviate by bringing in religion, race and creed issues or identity.

Kudos to the security guard for keeping up the professionalism throughout the drama. And also kudos to the one who film this video. It helps to bring to light this arrogant man and so that many more can be done to probe his education and certificate authenticity. We need to do this because there are other foreign workers who come here to work with genuine certificates qualifications and skills. We have to be fair to them and our own Singaporean workforce too.

SINGAPORE — Two labour Members of Parliaments (MPs) have renewed their calls for harassment laws to be extended to cover private security officers, as a video showing a condominium security officer being verbally abused by a resident went viral over the weekend.

Meanwhile, multinational investment bank JP Morgan said on Sunday (Oct 27) that it is looking into the matter as its employee was purportedly involved.

JP Morgan, employer of resident in condo incident, wants staff to show 'respect and dignity' for others

Nicholas Yong
Yahoo News Singapore29 October 2019

SINGAPORE — In the wake of a viral video that showed one of its employees verbally abusing a condominium security officer, investment bank and financial services company JP Morgan has reminded its Singapore staff to conduct themselves with “respect and dignity”.

In an internal memo sent to staff on Tuesday morning (29 October) that was seen by Yahoo News Singapore, senior country officer Edmund Lee said, “Our people, services and commitment to integrity have made JP Morgan one of the most respected financial institutions in the world. We all have a shared responsibility for preserving and building on this strong reputation.”

Re: Arrogant Indian expat abusing a local security guard in Singapore

I am disappointed with JP Morgan's respond and action taken. Note that this person is a director of a company, not just a regular rank and file employee. From the acts and words of this person we can know two possibilities about his character. (1) He cannot control his temper. (2)He is a bully. Temperament is important especially if you are in the management. But this boor is not just regular management - he is a director of a big well known company. The other reason why he behave like this is because he knows the security guard cannot talk back at him because he is representing the condo and his security firm so the boor can bully and push his limits using profanities. See this video below on how a scary wordless ass he is now over the phone when another one who is more badass than him confronts him. He is lucky he is in Singapore. In Indonesia and Malaysia you act like this you won't see another sunrise.

If you go to another country, whether working or as tourists always behave yourself. Showing respect to another person does not mean you are scared. Visiting another country if you carry yourself well and show consideration for another countries laws and customs, you will give people a good impression. Don't think only Governors or ambassadors need to put on their best behaviours when visiting other countries, common folks visiting other countries also need to do so because you will be representing your own country no matter what your business is there.

Re: Arrogant Indian expat abusing a local security guard in Singapore

This type of people is the parents pamper him when he is a child that's why grow up so arrogant. Also the parents probably teach him to lick balls that's why he can climb so high with just a certificate that is like ranked how high in the world list of universities?

If JPmorgan and the parents don't know how to teach, Singapore authorities and the security guard have to teach. See what is the outcome of the investigation and action from police. We just need to put this guy in jail for at least 1 day. Once he has a criminal record he will have to go home and cannot work here anymore. If the police cannot put him in jail, we can always crowdfund to help the security guard hire a lawyer and press charges until he gets some jail time in Singapore chalet. The security agency of condo can also help to pursue the matter if they can by hiring a lawyer for the security guard who is their employee.

Re: Arrogant Indian expat abusing a local security guard in Singapore

Of course he now has to apologise. His job is at stake with the force of netizens clamping down on him. Further more police is investigating now. Although the security guard accepts his apology, I think the police should do something. This man is a DIRECTOR in a company. A rank-and-file worker can make mistakes like not being able to control his temper. But this boor is a director, under no circumstances should he hurl vulgarities and use race religion to forward his cause. The qualities of a high ranking position staff should be deeply edged within before he can even be considered for such a post. It is a mistake he should not make. Like I wrote his parents probably had pampered him and he probably had licked balls up to and wiggle out of problems hoping an apology can close the case. We should continue the pressure until the police complete the investigation.

A high ranking staff should know each and everything he/she does has a consequence. Sometimes we have to teach this boor the hard way to compensate for the softness his parents had probably placed on him when he is a boy.
