The Asian Youth Energy Summit is a regional youth conference that seeks to highlight opportunities and challenges in sustainable energy related industries to students and young professionals from across Asia, with a focus on solutions through entrepreneurship and policy-making. Participants will get the opportunity to interact with various business leaders, policy leaders, financiers and entrepreneurs.
Participants can play an active part in an ever-growing industry, and gain better knowledge and a deeper insight on what is seen as the next big thing.
Organised by Energy Carta in its second-year running, the theme for AYES2009 is "Opportunities, Solutions and Policies".
AYES2009 will have four panels revolving around the theme of key events that is happening or will happen in 2009.
“Opportunities”
* The emerging green collar economy worldwide and massive green entrepreneurship in China, Asia and the US.
“Policies”
* The upcoming COP-15 to be held in Denmark and the Singapore Green Plan announcements in 2009.
“Solutions”
* The rise of technologies in eco-cities, green transport/electric vehicle infrastructure, carbon neutral buildings, intelligent grids, solar energy etc. during 2009.
A Career fair will be held on the second day as well! It is open to the general public.
