Scores of babies have died after being fed a teething formula contaminated with anti-freeze.
The Nigerian health ministry said 84 children had now died, out of 111 taken ill since the poisonous batch of ‘My Pikin Baby Teething Mixture’ went on sale in November.
Many bottles of the formula were found to contain diethylene glycol, commonly found in anti-freeze and brake fluid. Exposure can cause kidney and liver damage and may be fatal in large amounts. http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/ne...-14177898.html

And those people in Nigeria are lucky enough to be able to have milk but ends up getting poisoned. Those people there either die from hunger or lead poisoning due to black-hearted merchants, so poor thing.  | |

Why do they wanna add anti-freeze at the first place? does it make the teething formula more healthy or what? Like what the china milk case, over-adding to make the milk look more protein

Ouch. :\ This is the perfect scenario where breastfeeding is better. But again, Nigerians tend to have lots of kids so breastfeeding is..... kinda.. ouch.
