If I were to become a vegetarian, or better yet a vegan, it's only for vanity purposes.. To lose weight... To look good... Not exactly for the animals... Some animals are meant to be eaten, you know, else all the creatures in the world would be herbivores... And the food-chain/web chapter in science class would be so boring..

This one is true in a way but totally hilarious!! Maybe a new era of pro-lifers wannabes will emerge and start setting an example by eating sand, stone, metal, fuel and other non living things. Try surviving life on that and we shall all laugh at you while we indulge in the wholesome goodness of plants and/or animals. How much more stupid can humans get, for goodness sake?

Death is inevitable. The poor chicken is going to grow old, get sick, and painfully drift itself to death if we don't slaughter it while it's young and healthy and eat it up. Or it might get eaten by the dog next door. That poor lettuce is going to be infest with snails and slugs and shrivel and die if we don't harvest it at its ripest stage and eat it up. Or it might get eaten by your pet rabbit. Which could get eaten by the loose python who escaped from it's tank. So what I'm getting at is that, even if we don't eat this animals or plants, they're going to end up dead sooner or later.

If you're against animal cruelty, you clearly haven't watch enough predatory episodes on any animal channel. The komodo dragon won't say "It won't hurt a bit" to they big old cow and twists the preys neck for a sudden death before it feast on the dead beast. Just one bite sends bacteria and venom into the cow's system. The poor animal limping away trying to find safety. The throbbing pain on it's thigh from that single bite. Bleeding profusely. It get's tired. It takes a rest. Tears rolled while it tries to bear the pain. but it won't go away. Slowly, painfully, it hears death calling it's name. And then, it saw more predators inching towards its immobile body. It cant run now. It cant hide. And it feels it's flesh torn off its body chunk by chunk as the poor old cow drifts to death..

Pardon my exageration, but it's true.. Though I do agree in us humans be the cruelest of all though.. lol.. And what about plant cruelty? Nobody stood up for the grass when people walk all over it breaking it's body obstructing its water passage and thus killing the plant needlessly.. Nobody stood up for the poor roses, chopped of from it's body and distributed commercially for Valentine's Day only to leave it to wither to death after that.. Nobody stood up for the dear wasted tomatoes thrown at a sucky concert.. lol..

Some things just can't be helped.. So let's just shut up and eat, ya, cos u only have one lifetime to actually try that out..

yes.. its cruel seeing them kill animals

i don't care about food chain but i think about karma.. like i eat this animal then next life it eat me those kind of thing.

the animals need to understand that only the strongest will survive. if the animals are strong enough to escape and prey on us, we wouldnt be here eating meat at all.

cells and micro-organism make up our body, animals and even plants.
so to them, plants are also living things, cause it freaking breath and bleed too.
They also reproduce, Fruits as their reproductive organs, but humans treat them as nutritional food.
Simply to put, you're eating the so-call nutritional reproductive organs produce by plants =X

no, being a veggie urself doesn't make other ppl wanna be kinder to animals. U can beat up a kitty without eating it. I tink tougher laws and outreach programmes is the best way to go.

Being a veggie is a person choice and belief and by saying plants are living things are jus simply mocking them

I dun think i can..I have tried eating only vege for 1week during my grandfather funeral and after that week i think i ate all the meat i could find in the menu

Its cruel but at least we dun eat dem up when they are still alive like tiger or croc

Veg here! I beg to differ.
Plants n fruits have no feelings.
They cant run away from danger.
But animals CAN, and by being the supreme race, it doesnt mean u hv the right to over rule and dictate their lives.

All things we eat are living things.

This just concern the food chain whereas plants are easily reproduced if there are seeds, it reproduces fast.

On the other hand, animals are needed to force reproduction. And if you're trying to refer to animals who lay eggs, they are injected with medication to increase their speed growth.

Think, like watching a manga, do you really want to eat something like a monster body but pea brain(undeveloped brain as it is not matured)?
