Yes, SAKURA is considered the best Japanese Restaurant I have ever patronized so far.

i know shokudo at cineleisure is not bad!
its spaghetti and stuff.
not too pricey and portion is still ok.

this jap restaurant is at link hotel. very nice food & cheap $22++ for buffet lunch.

I like marutama ramen @ the central..
It's just simple ramen with 1 medium slice cha sue, jap seaweed & chopped spring onions..
But the soup is really gd.. go for the spicy ramen if u like spicy food..
I also like ajisan ramen too...
Speaking of ramen makes me wanna have them for dinner tonite!

Try KoshinBo Japanese Restr. buffet. It's only $20.90 for 1-hr buffet. Very value for money. It is located at Jurong Point and Suntect.

I did recommend Suki Sushiat Amk Central's K-box plaza. It's chanmamushi's so cheap that all chan lovers ooooought to try it out! x]

or isit called that? anyway .

I recommend MOF@My Izakaya. Affordable and the food's not bad too!^^
The salmon hot-stone rice is nice, although it's not on the menu, but you can still order it. They also have unagi hot-stone rice.
The teriyaki bento is good too^^

You ppl should try Wasabi Tei at Far East Plaza Lvl 5 their sashimi are very very fresh normally waiting time is 15 min to 40 min coz the place can only accomadate 15 pax each time
Sushi Tei is good too i normally eat at the taka one
if your wallet aint too fat you can try Ichiban Sushi 80% of the tiem you go the sashima are fine
For buffet Kushin Bo the choice i guess
Theres another japanese restuarant in Miramar hotel lobby is good but im not sure if its still there

For ramen, I prefer to go megumi at siglap area. Spicy ramen with cha shu.... omg.... I'm heading there tonight just to taste it again.. yummy !!!

Jap international buffet.. recommend Fortune Cuisine at sunset way.. $28 nett per pax for dinner.. lunch mi cant remb.. they serve free flow of salmon.. fresh~~~ yum~~ their crayfish also very zan! haha..
Kushinbo very nice too~ but abit ex ar... near to $40+ per pax but their snow crab very nice~ haha.. 
Sapporo Ramen Miharu at Gallery Hotel serves really good ramen.. yum yum~
MOF and Waraku serve really decent jap cuisine.. MOF's dessert best~! esp their Macha Imo..woot!
