One thing, threadmaker, please differentiate that Games Squarez is different from Funz Square. When i read this 1month ago, i was quite shocked.

Please differentiate.

The good shop is Funz Square #02-53

While the bad shop is game squarez

That's why I always buy games and consoles from big reputable companies and authorised dealers like the Sony shop and comics connection, etc. Although they may be slightly more expensive than others (games maybe by only a few dollars or so), I get the peace of mind.

My personal buying experience:-

- Initially emailed this seller regarding Wiikey2 console and conversation as below:-

Original posted: "hi bro, possible to quote me a Wii with Wiikey 2 installed? thanks!"

Seller replied: "sure.. wii with wii key 2 will be at $320 nett... i left 2 sets with wii key 2 only... while stock last.. call me for more information bro..
=) "

In summary here is what I’m got from them:-

1 x Korean Wii console with Wiikey 2. (I preferred hard modchip : P)
1 x Component cable.
1 x Wii Balance Board (Korean Ver)

Guess what? When i come down to his shop he said he never tell me that the Wii + Wiikey 2 is selling at $320, but i told him that he replied me via PM that wasn’t the agreed price but then he just ignore it saying there MUST BE A TYPO errors. NVM, finally I agreed to paid $370 for it because he selling soft mod ver for $269. (Extra $100+ for the Wiikey 2).

After that when I wanna to test the console on the spot then he tell me that they don't have any "ahem" game for testing and assure that it is working fine with the Wiikey 2. As i'm also in a rush so i just trusted them without testing the unit.

At the very same nite, when i first boot up the Wii everything seem working fine. but when i tried to load the ORIGINAL Korean Wii Fit CD via Disc Channel. it just never works!!! (As i thought Wiikey 2 should be REGION FREE!!!) so , i decided to give him a call. Again guess what he replied:-

"Yup, Region Free only applied on those BURNED DVD-R Disc NOT for the Original Disc and "OUR WII's DISC CHANNEL IS PURPOSELY LOCKED" to prevent accidentally UPGRADE OF FIRMWARE." - I’m a newbie to this and actually BELIEVED HIM : (

So next thing I try to load a "Wiikey 2 Configuration Disc", again IT NEVER WORKS!!! - I'm starting to suspect that there is something WRONG!!!! and i call him again, this time he replied:-

"Our Wii's Disc Channel was locked so basically you can't load any disc via disc channel." so i asked "How am i going to unlocked it then" he said” You can download a software via Homebrew channel named "Disc Channel Unlocker" to unlock it, after that it should be working fine by then." - I'm so stupid and trusted him again.

After long search in internet for sure i'm never found a "Disc Channel Unlocker" for Wii.. Because there isn't ANY!!!!! So decided to call him again, this time as he agreed for me to take it back and fixed it within 20 MINUTES. (I purposely asked because i don't want go down for another trip to pick it up again)

Few days later i'm travelled all the way from Boon Lay to Far East Plaza,, guess what this time? His assistant said IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR THEM TO FIX IT ON THE SPOT BECAUSE THERE ISN"T ANY TECHNICIAN HERE, I HAVE TO WAIT FOR FEW DAYS IN ORDER TO GET IT FIX!! WTF, that's means i have to go down again to take it back later!!! NVM,,, since i ored there so I"VE NO CHOICE!!!! just leave it to them.

In short, i get it back later and this time ONLY SOME OF THE DISC CAN BE LOAD VIA DISC CHANNEL....i WONDER WHY? So finally i noticed that it is because they just installed the "CIOS Corp" patch for me, in order for me to load via Disc Channel and it is not load via Wiikey 2!!!! WTF!!!! They never fixed it for me!!!

So i decided to order the Tri-wing screwdriver this time in order to open up my Wii and fix the chip myself. FINALLY THE TRUTH REVIVED!!!! THERE ISN"T ANY MOD CHIP INSIDE MY WII...WTF!!!!!

This Mother fxxker CHARGES ME EXTRA SGD$100 for nothing!!!!!! FYI my Optical Disc Drive is the so called "D3nothing" drive which is NOT SUPPORTED BY WIIKEY 2 BTW!!!!! SHOULD I TAKE IT BACK FOR ANOTHER ROUND OF FIXING??????

I GUESS I JUST CAN”T TRUST THEM ANYMORE!!!!!


Note: I tried to highlight my issue in his blog.. guess what??? HE REMOVED THE CHAT BOX IN HIS BLOG IN ORDER TO AVOID OTHER SEEING HIS UGLY FACE!!!!! : P


I tried to PMs, SMS, email him ,,, so far HE WILL NEVER EVER REPLY ME!!!!!!

Sorry for the long story…. … as a summary is my fault that I didn’t find out this shop background before I fall into it! So, lesson learned!! BEWARE ALL THE NEWBIES OUT THERE!!!
