Or does this only happen to OEM hard case? I dunno, sux if I've been sold an inferior product that actually causes more damage instead of protecting the PSP,
Ok, the problem with the case I have is that, the PSP doesn't fit snugly at all unlike in other reviews, meaning there is an at least 1mm gap at the left and right. When you play with it upside-down, like while lying on the bed or something, the PSP will fall down onto your face.
And what's worse is that, because it doesn't fit snugly, when you press the buttons hard enough, like during fighting games or DJ Max (and I've been said to be a soft-presser), the PSP will actually tilt abit inside this case. If sand or dust gets into the gap when this happens, viola, you now have scratches on your PSP! How about that, your PSP is getting scratched inside a "protective" case! And more so than if you've just put it in the pouch!
Plus, because it can move inside the case, the rear isn't spared either. Abrasive marks appear at the curve parts where actual contact happens.
God, my four month old looks worse than my friends' who've been owning theirs for more than a year!
And also, the hinge of my case is totally loose - the cover will drop unless it's at certain angles, at which it'll stay until exposed to a shock, like on a train/car or when walking. No need to talk about using it as a stand, it just won't work. And this, is entirely the problem of the OEM case; Logitech cases I've seen do not exhibit this problem.
I strongly caution would-be buyers to stick away from whatever similar type of cases for both phat and slim if you don't want the same thing to happen to your precious PSP. I will stick to my opinion unless someone offers me a good explaination, and I mean a GOOD explaination for this inferior POS that I've bought.
ADD: On, and in case you don't believe I'm a soft presser (as usually ranters tend to not put the blame on themselves), lemme ask you if you guys ever had circle/triangle button sensitivity issues. I have it all the time since day one, can press either button reliably depending on how I place my thumb, but it'll be unreliable for the other then. Kills me in DJ Max alot.
So it's either I'm a soft presser or the guy sold me a refurb. set with insensitive buttons when I paid the retail price. Has got to be the first case, right? RIGHT!?!?!?
Unreliable meaning that if I press it at an angle (with thumbs on both buttons of course and not delibrately), the button goes down and "clicks" but isn't detected. I reaaaaaaally hope this is normal for PSP phat.
