Re: BMW Z3 @ $65k with 10 yr new COE

Is it the M? or just the normal Z3. it's seems like quite a small car.. should be a good handling track car.
Don't know about bmws, but for that price i'd rather get a MX5. either the NB or NC..

decent power, RWD, near perfect 50:50 weight distribution and cheaper to maintain in-line 4.
(z3 is a in-line 6? not sure how many c.c, but it seems quite heavy.)

ohh.... i think the mx5 is really a good car to consider. If not, the MRS would be another.
Both of these cars are perfect examples that you don't have to be fast to have fun.

s2000 would be another, but with a heavier price tag.. unless you want a sedan kind, then perhaps the older rexes would be the best bang for the buck?
not much choices in sg also..

or if you going conti.. then another story. =/

Re: BMW Z3 @ $65k with 10 yr new COE

yea, S2000 is pretty expensive.

too bad sg don't have many scenic places. i luv a relaxing cruise in an open road, esp at night.
still remember my fav road was the ECP up to west coast highway. love the sunset view against the.... PSA cranes.
Quite a short road though, only about 10km or 16+ including the shears bridge.

haha~ but that's the closest to an ocean view. the rest of the expressways only see trees.

lol! actually.. i thought of sharing car before. 2 or 3 ppl pool a sum and buy a cheap car to trash about. haha~
but must be ppl you can trust.. if not later the person take the car and run away.

sighs, i wish for such a windfall also.. but sg not many choices of cars left.

Its approx 1900cc and a 4 potter. Power is adequate but must check whether the roof mechanism is still functioning OK.If not later have to use hands manually to lower/put up the car roof.Check instrument panel for fault report and suspension bushes for serious abuse. These are the usual fault suspects for Z3. Bringing it to the professional BMW workshops such as BVO and J4C for checking will be worth every cent and a peace of mind before commiting to buying.

Better to buy a 2.8 Z3 or if you have the moolah, the upcoming new Z4. More shiok.
