Can Spicy Food Really Help in Weight Loss?

I have been told that eating spicy food and chili can help in reducing body fat. Can you please help me and verify this bit?

Simply put, for those who cannot take spicy food, consuming in spicy food will bring them all sorts of stomach issues like diarrhoea and stuffs. Hence, that's how they start to reduce their weight after frequent toilet visits

Haha, I love spicy food but my stomach can't take it.

If you want to lose weight, opt for something better than having frequent runs because it's not good for your stomach. Try having fruits instead of snacking on chips? Have some citrus fruits, but not eating after that, until sometime later..

Not a pro but I hope that helps! =)

It ain't my intention to consume spicy stuff... So no worries... My comments above is an example of how taking spicy food can help to lose weight, esp for those who can't take spicy stuff...

no offences to any races, just for the sake of quoting facts. u see some race their daily food intake is curry mutton, curry vegge, mee goreng, roti prata. so u see many of them more to the fat side or more to the slim side?

Actually when u consume spicy food, u tend to drink lots of water to quench the heat, thus adding water weight, which in turn gets flushed out of your system and results in losing water weight.

well their diet is high in fat and carbo and with the lack of exercise sure put on weight, the spice cant do much in this case.

Yes. Chili contain Capsaicin, which can assist in fat oxidation and increase in metabolism. Hence, it is can be useful for weight loss to a limited extent. Pepper and other herbs and spices may also contain Capsaicin.

Wow..very much enlightening. Very much fond of spicy food. But it just helps me consume more. Coz really, it kinda acts my appetizer.lol.. I like it though coz it makes me sweat. And sweat is always a welcome thing.

Spicy food can help in some weight loss but you need to eat it almost everyday which I cannot. Adding a little spice may improve the taste and cause you to eat less during your meal. Add hot sauce to your soup or add peppers to your omelet and see if you feel full.

come on man, spicy food does not help at all. there is a difference between eating the real spice like real chilli and chilli sauce. if u eat artificial chilli sauce of curry, u are just eating extra sugar, fat bla bla. whats worse, they are also a good appetizer. which means after u eat spicy, u tend to be happy to eat more. bagus!
