Chicken Pie

Anyone knows how to make chicken pie that is crispy outside and juicy inside?

You might want to try making this chicken pot pie.

you will need:

Butter 1 stick
Flour
Milk
chicken (tigh meat will be great as it is more soft)
Mushroom
Choice of vege (pea, carrot, corn)
Pastry dough ( available in cold storage..trust me..you do not want to make your own pasty puff..it will be messy)

What you need to do..

heat up a pan and put the butter in, put in a bit of oil ( it will prevent the butter to chaoo daaa)
Add in the flour and fried..then add milk..amount of milk depend on the density of the sauce you are tryin to achieve, if you want a denser sauce then add less milk.. This is what we call roux..

On the other pan, fried the chopped garlic and onion and fried a while till you can smell the frangrance. Add the chicken and fried it till it half to 3/4 cook. Add in the mushroom and veggie..

Pour everything into the sauce and let it simmer for a while preparing the dough.

Use the butter wrapper to apply some butter on the rim of the pot.

Add in the chicken mixture

Cut 4 stripes of the dough and then put it around the rim, this will ensure total seal.

on top of that cut a circle out of a square shape dough and put it on top of the pot and seal the whole thing.

Use a fork to press down the rim, it will have nice markings on it as well as it will close up any gap in betwee,

Put it in the over 400 degree F for aout 10 to 15 mins and it will be ready!

Ya made this once for my famliy..as for the puff pasty no..cuz what i heard from my dad is that even a pastry chef will take a super long time just to master and make a perfect puff pastry..so the more economic way is just to use ready made puff pastry..unless u wan to use crossiant type..but still alot of work..
