Re: Choosing car with budget

for mi when i first bought my car in 2006 the key reason to buy is cos stupid taxi peak hr sub charge go up to 2 bucks.....

my key consideration.... is the usage for the car.... the fuel consumption.... for 60k u can get a gd new car liao.... if u mean budget constrain of like 40k den most probz go for 2nd hand....

Re: Choosing car with budget

I've always stresed on good engine and power when choosing cars.

With a 60k budget, you're just a few thousand short of a Swif Sports. IMO it's a pretty good car that's fun to drive. Of course if you are more of a family man, I'd suggest a Toyota of some sort.

Re: Choosing car with budget

ya man no china made cars! well look at honda jazz or fit the 2008 version. with rising petrol prices, y dun save afew more months then get hybrid or 1 with CNG. good for long term. 2nd hand car nah not for now due to higher interest rate and current low coe(even though the last one went up) 2nd hand car monthly vs new car monthly about 50-100 bucks diff so rather a new car

Re: Choosing car with budget

But some pple say CNG not stable yet and you must get it installed at the right workshop. Plus installation on your own will void warranty

Hybrid is good and environmentally friendly but too expensive

Re: Choosing car with budget

ya CNG is not stable yet.... due to the ECU is not able to companate for the lost of power therefore might destroy the engine in the long run... however workshop tat have done the installation for the same type of cars over 1000 cars should get the hang of tuning the ECU though not 100% but should be 90% there liao.......

the info came frm this mth de Top Gear magaine... so should be quite accurate...

Re: Choosing car with budget

korean cars such as KIA and Hyundi are quite ok for the sedan and MPV however the small hatch back... yeahz no power and high fuel consumption.... but main thing tat ppl aviod korean cars is becase no resell value... if u intend to use the car for 10 yrs... not really an issue but when u wan to sell n change car u find tat u have to top up $$$ frm ur own pocket....

btw ppl who complain car no power always nv RTFM..... the torque for each car is diff.... so chk wat the max torque range for the car be4 u drive them..... eg. a car max torque at 4k rpm u rev to 2k or 3k cfm no power la...

Re: Choosing car with budget

hi guys.. just FYI.. im an indonesian...
i would buy a subaru impresa and slammed it with 18" at least
Coz' the road here are ssssooooo sssmmoooothhhhh......
but with a 1.5 engine with AWD.. no boot, not so good at the fuel consumption.+ my big wheels.. errr..
hehehe.. but still love it.. love the engine noise..

and yah about the china made car..
go and check the interiors... my god they are ugly..
the quality are BBADDD.. as if the plastic are crisppy and about to break every time you touch it..

about CNG.. i ask a friend of mine.. he says that CNG will have lost of power if the pressure is dropped like 1/3 of the tank...
besides that he says it has a higher octane about 102 if i'm not wrong..

just my 5 cents
