Default cleanser for sensitive, oily and acne-prone skin?

hello, i'm seeking for some advices.

i am currently using nuteen facial wash and some patches of my skin turns red after washing. so i guess it is not suitable for my skin?

i have sensitive skin that gets red, and it gets oily after some time and it is very acne-prone. does anyone have any facial cleanser to recommend?

i've heard of nutrogena, simple, loreal and t3..
does t3 works? i just bought simple's and im going to try them for the next few weeks..

or is it that different people have different types of skin, so i'll have to try them myself?

Hi Harusnow,

How long did the redness last after the cleanser? any itch or rashes? the cleanser may be not too gentle for acne prone skin.

Is the skin always react this way to all cleanser? since young or develop after using some skin care regime?

I have been recommending CLear action in the forum for those who have acne prone skin. The foam cleanser is gnetle to acne and the whole series helps to target at the past scar, present acne and prevent future breakout.

heys// i experienced the same thing few years ago..i thought it was due to genetic predisposition..and i used several over-the-counter cleansers : cetaphil, eversoft, body shop t3 oil..i have also used oxy acne cream to prevent acne..all these were quite effective initially..after that it became worse..until now im using neutrogena fragrance free cleanser and PanOxyl 2.5% benzoyl peroxide work wonders for me..rmbr to use a mild cleanser...it's obvious that ur skin is quite sensitive..and also rmbr to wait for few weeks to see if the product works before changing ur regimen : )..the point is that..rather than using an oil control series that strips your natural oil,..then it'll lead to overdrying and the sebaceous gland will produce more oil than usual, use a mild cleanser...we want non-comedogenic cleansers/creams : )..

Hmmm, I think clean and clear is pretttyyyy gentle, and can purchase from watsons and local stores?

"Acnes" is also another brand that could help curing acnes, of course. works like a charm according to my friends. Also, it could be found in watsons. =)

By using the warm water to clean your face you can wash away 70% of the oil

I gues yours is similar as mine.

AFter washing - my face turns red, burnt (with brown patches liks sunburn) and tight, pain itchy and sometimes flaky.

I've tried many brands and it didn't work.

Now using sebamed.
Didn't help my acne that much (it did but mild), , but no more redness.

RED.ADEN added 0 Minutes and 39 Seconds later...

sensitive skin cannot really use warm water to wash. the pain and itch will get worse.

acnes is not recommendable. it is alcohol based and will wear down your skin in a long run.

I think simple is quite nice... i am using it as well as my sis.
The acne thing right... actually is becoz of your genes like what seranalee said, gene disposition.

I've used sample before.
It started out good.
But after using about half bottle, i realised i broke out badly due to that. My sis too.

It is not 100% due to genes.
It could be due to anything.
The way you wash your face, the products you use and EVEN THE PLACE YOU ARE AT.

If it's genes, then explain to me, why am i getting acne in singapore but i have perfect skin in china?

been usin vichy normaderm series. i think its real good. i had real bad acne for like 2-3 yrs. went to many doctors and used many products..all sorts of brands..but all did not help. i even took oral medication but pimples just keep popping. when i started using vichy, i could feel the diff. immediately after 3 days.. esp the anti-imperfection hydrating care. my face is now less oily. ever since then i onli uses vichy toner and the hydrating care...not applying any pimple cream. if needed, mayb some T3 brand pimple cream. but make sure u dont use too much cos i realise its these pimple cream creating the scars!

those with bad acne can try this combination out!

but its quite ex in singapore :S. can try out:

think its reasonably priced. getting from them too. hopefully its good!

Try Niu Er products for oily skin and acne problem. My cousin using their range of acne care products and seems to work well for her. This brand was recommended in the Taiwan variety show and very popular there.
