Deceased pets

I've no idea whether this is the right forum to post this, but since its something religious I thought I'd just ask.

My brother's hamster just died. My dad says we can't bury them if not they'd become the undead. Is it true?
Anyone with a similar experience?

I havent tried googling for an answer, lol.

P.S : We're buddhists.

Bury your dead hamsters in Pet Cemetery & they'll become undead hamsters with a hunger for their master.

Re: Deceased pets

Dead hamsters becoming undead because they were buried is frankly quite far-fetched... Just bury them, nothing will happen. I always bury my pets, can't just leave them to rot unburied, I always feel my pets deserve proper burials.

Nothing will happen but I do know buddhists do see things differently.

Re: Deceased pets

Hahaha!! Anyway,I fashioned it a coffin out of cupboard, wrote its name and some stuff on it,wrapped and taped it up before going downstairs to put the coffin in a trash bin. I think it'll be incinerated, along with the rest of the trash. Eventually it's still cremation for the hamster. Thanks guys

Re: Deceased pets

Be kind 2 ur pet (hamster) even after its dead.. it deserve a proper burial..
Make a small box (big enough for it), place it inside and buried it.

P.S. I am buddhist too.

If that were true, we'd have been overrun with zombies centuries ago.

Re: Deceased pets

My hamster died a few months ago. I was devastated.

I buried him just at a discreet corner of the grounds of my HDB's garden.

It's dead, just accept it.

P/S I'm buddhist too.

Re: Deceased pets

My brother covered the hamster with lots of serviettes before putting it into a black trash bag, along with other rubbish, and throw it into the rubbish chute when the pregnant hamster died( Which is also the 1st hamster died).

P.S I'm a Buddhist too
