Driver At Fault. Shouts At Guard.

some drivers are really irritating on road. they blame others or thinks that they are right when they are at fault. i was having an lunch with my mum on sunday at west coast plaza. and we decide to go some where else after our lunch. so we waited for taxi at the taxi stand.

normally. most shopping mall have only one way drop off point. meaning there is only one entrance and one exit point for drop off. and road signs and arrows are clearly being drawn on the road floor. if anyone have been to the entrance point of west coast plaza. you may know how the drop off point looks like.

anyway. while waiting for cab. there is this female driver driving a red honda car and another female at the passenger sit. as they were approaching the plaza. they stop at the EXIT entrance for some while. i would not mind if they stop for a while to make sure which is the ENTRANCE or EXIT. however. after stopping some while. the female driver just dash in EXIT entrance. which is extremely hazardous as she was driving the opposite way.

luckily there was no car at the drop off point at the moment. if there are any. the consequences may be quite serious i guess. the security guard saw and quickly ran towards the car and tell the female driver that she was driving the wrong way in a quite serious tone. instead of apologising to the guard. the driver shouts back at the security guard as if she was not in any fault or the road belong to her house. (although i cant clearly hear what she was saying). after picking up their parents at the drop off point. instead of reversing her car out of the EXIT point. she just continue to dash out of the ENTRANCE point. i was like OMG.

i guess that this kind of driver should be condemned. road signs and arrow are clearly drawn there. it is also alright for us to make a bit of mistake. and i guess it would also be acceptable if the driver apologise to the guard on her fault. yet. her attitude really disgust me.

huh? i dun get how could the car entered from exit point as most shopping malls is situated from the left side of the road... unless the driver does an extraordinary big u-turn... is it ok for u to explain it more explicitly?

ya. west coast plaza is on the left side of clementi west street 1. when you drive straight along the left side. you will first encounter the EXIT on the left. further ahead a little is the ENTRANCE on the left. so when you turn left and drive into the ENTRANCE. you continue forward to EXIT. its a one way drop off point. its just like driving around a circle. can understand? haha. i know west coast plaza is quite ulu to most ppl.

hmm. put it in a simple way. for normal shopping mall with one way drop off point (eg. jurong point 7-11 taxi stand). the entrance would come before the exit. while for west coast plaza. the entrance come after the exit.

I get what you mean, I think Causeway point carpark entrance also like something that. Need to drive passed the exit before you see the entrance.

Basically, the woman drove in from the OUT and came out from the IN.

she played too much need for speed=.=..

some ppl are like tat de la...they like to act like the whole world owes them...thinking tat they are so big and everybody must give in to them..only when an accident happen..than she will learn

Some drivers are very inconsiderate. Since she is in the wrong in the first place, she should not have shouted at the Security guard who is just doing his duty.

Some people looked down on Security Personnel thinking that they are lowly educated and cant secured a better job.

most drivers after getting their licence will tend to forget what they learnt. and the results is increased accidents on the road...

I feel that she probably feel quite embarassed about it but just want to vent it out on the guards cos of her stupid mistake.

That is no reason for her to shout at the guard. The guard was just doing his job.

She could have been apologetic. And by exiting again after picking up the passengers, she just continued driving against the flow of traffic, it just show how inconsiderate this person is.

Yea, but some people are just like that. They are in the wrong, they know but they still want to scold you so that they feel better. Sometimes these people just look down on the kind of job other people holds and deem you as "not as educated" as them.

Traffic police? For going against traffic? Provided the guard has proof that she drove wrongly, if not maybe report to his boss about this incident.

C'mon, you get fined if you park against the traffic in those parallel parking lots, don't even mention driving in the opposite direction, that's worse.
