Dry dyed hair after wash/swim

Hey people,

I dyed my hair ash brown recently. Ever since then, whenever I use shampoo my hair turns into a mangled, dried mess. It tangles up everywhere, it suddenly becomes really rough. However, once I apply some conditioner onto my hair, it instantly turns back into it's soft and smooth state. I play water polo, so I'm in the water a lot. I've also realized that the same thing happens to my hair once I get inside the pool, and likewise some conditioner instantly revives the hair.

Can someone please explain to me why this is happening and what I can do about it? I know it's probably because of the dye but what can I do about it? Thanks so much for the help.

Have a good day.

Re: Dry dyed hair after wash/swim

This is all because of the chemicals inside the swimming pool, I use to be a swimmer back then my hair was really rough, mess, curly & dry but now I only swim for about 6 months once. My hair now is straight, soft, smooth & shiny because I swim lesser now. If you want to have good hair maybe you can use redken shampoo it's really good for everyone.

Yea, but before I dyed my hair, I was still swimming 6 times a week and 3 hours each time. Nothing happened to my hair. It was still smooth and soft. This only happened recently. Thanks for the advice though, I'll give the shampoo a shot.

For Dry Tangled Hair~ Try using either one of the product twice a week~

nicely scented and protects your hair in the harsh environment

My hair was the same situation with u...i think the most important thing is the temperature of the water.

The colouring dried your hair.. Try doing hair mask on a regular basis.
