Epilator, which one is good?

Wanting to get so much since frequent waxing/cream is costly and plucking is tedious. Any recommendations on which brands are better? I heard about panasonic's foam one. It seems cool.

Re: Epilator, which one is good?

I suppose all are waterproof one lah coz most of them use it in the toilet one mah..

Anyway, I was thinking of getting one of the most expensive and most functions one (7781) but then again, it boils down to the question whether is it good to invest in such an expensive epilator? Saw the functions like quite good leh..

Re: Epilator, which one is good?

Hey i am using Braun too! i think it's the best in the market. The one i'm using is Silk epil Xpressive. It comes with light, and the top part can be detached and washed completely, it is also movable so moves according to the contours of your body! It comes with Olay pre epilation wipes too! so far i've had no prob with it, and i love it!

You should get this Braun one too!

Re: Epilator, which one is good?

I think I should start using an epilator/shaving cos I'm too hairy. >< I was thinking of buying Braun epilator too, judging by the reviews on makeupalley.com. But I heard that epilators will cause ingrown hair... Has anybody (esp the ones using Braun Silk) experienced this problem before?

Re: Epilator, which one is good?

hey wenx, yup, sometimes will have ingrown hair....but they can be remove with tweezer. I guess the ingrown hair will grown when we don't epilate properly, so the hair snap instead of being plucked out.....i'm not too sure though. Just make sure your skin is helded tight/stretch before epilating....

But i use alot of moisturizers and exfoliate often to reduce the ingrown hair...if you leave the ingrown hair and keep applying moisturizer/ keep exfoliating it will come out too.....

thanks for the reply - so you did get them? and they can be removed? I;m not really sure what an ingrown hair looks like, to be honest - do you mean the large red lumps that form on the skin (with the hair curled up inside)? If so, I don't see how we would be able to remove them with tweezers. Apparently the red lumps don't really go away, or they leave scars behind.
