Executive level jobs continue to be in high demand

SINGAPORE: Jobs at the management and executive levels are expected to continue to be in demand.

The latest Hays Quarterly Report for July-September said recruitments at Director and executive levels are buoyant and on the rise, given that the Singapore market is largely defined by its regional headquarters presence.

"Companies are actively looking for deep breadth of experience and management skills to help drive their business forward in the new financial year," said Mr Chris Mead, General Manager of Hays in Singapore.

He added that such positions will continue to grow as companies regroup ahead of the predicted boom in 2012.

The report said employers are also taking their time to ensure they secure the right person with a number of companies conducting three rounds of interviews before making an offer of employment.

Executives with additional language skills are most in demand.

Demand is also strong for experienced Chief Financial Officers and Chief Executive Officers with strong interpersonal and language skills.

Re: Executive level jobs continue to be in high demand

Good news. But I still have a long way to go to be qualified for a top executive position. But my hopes are high.
