So i just wanna yap about my recent experience at the *cough* NEW film garde cinema at Iluma bugis. Here's a summary of what screw ups the cinema had to offer:

1) When movie start, lights were ON. Someone had to leave to get help.
2) Screen never open fully causing the movie picture to be squashed and distorted. Someone had to go out and get help, and it took awhile because the people outside were blur and went like, HUH? And NOPE, no restart.
3) Just when movie ending, screen went very DARK. Can see people standing up to ask staff outside "WTH, is the show over anot?? Why liddat??"
4) Funky techno CHINESE music started to play at the credits, even though the movie was Revolutionary Road. No, the music wasn't intentional.
5) Took awhile to change the screen image and music back again, while everyone was standing in theater looking pissed. NOPE, no restart of ending again.

And with the $6 ticket offer already gone, I see no reason why i should ever step foot into that place again, honestly. The other cinemas have much more comfortable seats, and i've never experienced such inexcusable technical faults before (not even in the 90s!).

Paid $7.50 on a weekday.. so i think it's more or less the market rate?

Unless you're saying their stuff only works properly on weekends when we pay more lol

Ohya, just to add last time i used to watch those movie that is not very nice at Bedok princess, $5 during weekdays $7 during weekends so you should guess what luxury im having there lol

Yeah!
My friend ever sent a complaint letter to the management complaining there were disturbing lines during the show was screened.
But they never compensate anything. They don't even CARE.

i got 2 tickets for some show n was given the wrong timing .. was given some timing for early show the next day.. went back to clarify.. ticket were replaced to what i initially asked for.. but i was thinking to myself.. how can the staff make such a mistake when i already made myself clear of the timing i want.. n hv to agree.. seats r nt comfortable.

Haha that's sneaky! A good way by management to fill up their less popular timings man!

The fire alarm or some alarm went off in the cinema while the movie was on-going.

The seats arent comfy at all, it felt like i needed to sit at 90 degrees.

but the one at kallang leisurepark is not bad lah.. maybe they just started a new one. so the management is abit messed up

Those old old cinemas I still remember have alot of cockroaches .. and rats even.
Sometime u can even feel them brushing by your legs.. super yucky!

Last friday
I went with my husband to watch the fast and furious4 at film garde .
it was great

And there is no distorted.

I find it pretty fine
the staffs there are friendly =))

cool which branch? let's hope they clean up their act soon.

i guess seat comfort wise i still prefer the other companies over FG.. space is not a problem it's just..hard. hahaha
