think i know what you mean. i think one of the greater challenges of a worship leader is being able to suppress your personal preference (not entirely but to a certain extent) and consider the congregation and their preferences as well. That also means singing songs you may not like entirely but feel that it is an appropriate song for the day.

definitely, over-extending alloted time is one of the mistakes many of us make. it is a tough decision to make abt whether it is God's desire to continue or to stick to the given time frame. that's why sensitivity to the Spirit is so important. Also, I shld point out that many of us are prone to think that the flow is from God esp when we are enjoying the songs and not realize that we are actually leading with our own efforts. We got to be careful abt that....
