First driving lesson!

Ok..Just had my first driving lesson. Here to share my experience. . .

Lesson start at 1530hrs

-05mins intro / admin / paperwork/ move to training ground..

-10mins talk about ''theory'', about the controls, mirror, etc...

-10mins to try, listen and reach the ideal 1500/2000 rpm...

-05mins, tried clutch to 1st gear and feel biting point

-10mins, tried moving off, but vehicle stalled cause i kanchiong

-10mins, started moving off with LOTS of guidance and slowly
in 1st gear. No brake applied, just let go accelerator at turning.
1 round then do some review.

-10mins, started moving with much guidance and slowly in 1st
to 2nd gear. No brake applied, just let go accelerator at turning. 2/3 round then do some review.

-10mins, started moving with guidance and slowly in 1st and 2nd. Tapped on the brake before turning. 3/4 round then do some review.

-10mins, started moving with guidance normally in 1st to 2nd and 3rd gear. Tapped on the brake, change back to 2nd gear while turning, Vehicle stalled at turn, cause i went to gta style. .
1 round then kana serious review.

-08mins, started moving with guidance normally in 1st to 2nd and 3rd gear. Tapped on the brake, change back to 2nd gear while turning. Quite smooth.. 5 /6 round straight then final review...

Lesson End: 16:58hrs
Lesson Lasted: 88mins
Fees: $42 for 90mins
Registration: $50

Anyone learned so little/much on first lesson ?
One more concern, i never really waited for 1500to 2000rpm to drive off. I just accelerate abit then half clutch and drive off liao. Will i be penalized for that in test ?
He say i consider fast, i think hes just smoking me..

Accelerate abit, half clutch then move off is normal . I thought on average, most people will stall on the vehicle on their first few attempt to move off.

Re: First driving lesson!

Ya, i remember my first lesson, its all inside the circuit. Learning the biting point, engine die many times. Its a tactics that eventually u wld master. But the bad thgs enrolling in school, ur car change every lesson. So hard to master the biting point as each car is different.

Re: First driving lesson!

Haha I pass already still stall the car once in awhile, mainly when parking, because my family car is a manual and an old one at that, and the area I park is a slope, and has lots of humps. No multi-storey carpark in my old HDB estate. Anyway I don't bother about engine RPMs when finding biting point on level ground. Accelerate a bit and slowly release clutch at the same time. Did that during lessons and tests too.

Only on slopes do I bother to hit at least 2000 RPMs. Was taught that during lessons and I still do that with my family car. I don't remember actually stalling on a slope before but depends on vehicle also I guess. Just remember to accelerate harder on a slope compared with on level ground.

What's leg away by the way?
