Total SGC$: 515.42 | My Gf's Friend STOLE STUFFS FROM HER!!!
this incident happened at my house.
as my gf and i just returned from overseas, my gf still has a luggage containing some of her stuffs(cosmetics and etc) bought from overseas.
the luggage is in my room.
and for your info, the luggage is locked with a mini brass lock.
so some time ago, my gf invited her friend(who has been friends with my gf for over a decade)over to my house to make something for their friend(Friend B), as my house got all the materials they needed.
ok so lets name her friend, friend A
friend A came over, and my gf had not taken her dinner, but i did order a take-away dinner for my gf.
my gf brought her friend to my room, and friend A settled down and surfed the net using her lappie.
so i asked my gf to eat her dinner at the living room, my gf asked friend A whether she wanna go to the living room and bring her lappie along.
friend A rejected my gf's idea, she said she wanna remain in my room and play with her lappie, and kept insisting my gf to go to the living room to have her dinner.
so, my gf, whom trusted her, left her bag inside my room, and friend A was all alone in my room.
my gf is a slow-eater, she needs at least half an hour to finish her meal, and all her friends are aware of her eating habit.
and while my gf was eating, my family members, my gf and i were all at the living room.
when my gf was done, we went to my room and they proceeded with their work.
then i noticed her friend A's bag was placed somewhere near the locked luggage (around 1 metre away)
but i didn't suspect anything at that time.
while they were doing the work, they argued with each other (even before friend A came, they had some heated arguments over the phone)
then when they were done, friend A went home with a moody face.
then 2 days later, i opened up the luggage, and found that 2 of my gf's stuffs were gone, and called my gf about it.
so we began analysing what really happened.
and double checked the whole room again for the missing items, but no avail, cos we don't wanna malign anybody for nothing.
1. when my gf ate dinner for 30 mins, it's ample time to let the crime take place.
2. gf's luggage key was left in her bag, her bag was in my room
3. both key and luggage lock have similar stickers labelled on them, so it won't take long to identify the right key for the luggage lock
4. friend A was wearing a cardigan with two side pockets with zippers, maybe she placed those stuffs inside those pockets?
5. i noticed friend A's bag was near the luggage ( a metre away), easy access for her friend from the luggage and her bag.
6. this time round, my friend A didn't ask my gf to show her pickups from overseas, which was weird, cos last time, friend A would get excited and asked my gf to show her pickups to her
i know, my gf made a wrong move by placing her bag in the room.
but she trusted friend A, as they've been friends for over ten years.
and she's feeling really frustrated and distraught as its her own best friend doing this to her.
she thought of confronting her friend, but afraid that the long-term friendship would crumble.
really desperately in need of advice from you guys, thanks a lot
and sorry for the awfully long post

ouch!! this is a real sticky situation. one wrong move and you'll lose something - the friend or the items, or both
just asking, what did your girlfriend lose?

But why did a friend of over a decade suddenly steal from friend?
Is it because she needs money? Or those things that she stole worth more than the friendship over a decade?

my gf lost 2 cosmetic items, which she saw them before her friend came.

i also don't know why her friend(for like more than a decade), went to steal from my gf..
it doesn't seems like she's in need of money?
she has a stable job, and her bf provides for her.
whatever she needs, her bf would definitely get them for her.
and those 2 cosmetic items only cost like less than $60 altogether, not the usual makeup which the friend uses, as she uses only super high end ones dunemaster added 8 Minutes and 6 Seconds later... Quote:

sigh, yeah, my gf spoke to her bestie(friend B), friend B and her came to a conclusion that friend A might be pissed with my gf for the arguements they had.
but wah raos, pissed for what?
my gf didn't wanna spark the arguement, is friend A being dilly dally, before friend A came over, she didn't seem keen in coming over to my house to make something for their friend(friend B).
so my gf kinda chided her a lil as friend B did a lot for them, and yet friend A didn't seem to be interested in making the stuff for friend B.

forget the friendship. Friendship also talked about trust. since ur gf friend betray the trust, so why still care about the friendship? Just do it!

but she said for the time being, she'll just ignore friend A for good.
she also added that she won't budge no matter what.
yeah, a friend who steals isn't a true friend.
oh, i wanna add something, both friend B (gf's best friend) and my gf, think that friend A has been behaving real weird lately, and they've noticed a drastic change in friend A during these years. Quote:

i also suggested that to my gf, even if my gf pressed friend A to admit and return the stolen items, she doubt that A might admit, as A is very strong headed and stubborn.

Perhaps, the situation is not as straightforward as we think. Perhaps, Friend A had ran into some problems, and resorted to stealing to solve the problems in the short run. It would be best to find out a little background info before throwing any suspicions.
If nothing's the problem, then she could be doing it out of spite, just to cheese off your girlfriend.

shame on that friend A, being a friend for a decade and still do this kind of things? can ask ur gf to stop seeing this person le.
i will not let anyone whom i do not trust to be alone in my room for too long.
at least so far all the ppl whom i allowed in my room have proved to be worthy of my trust.

but then again, my gf did mentioned that A used to have a troubled past, i won't divulge too much details in order to protect my gf and friend A.
so bro, maybe like what you've said, she might ran into some problems.
and A is very secretive about her family, and her love life, my gf and friend B have been friends with A for more than 10 years, and they said she always kept stuffs related to her family and love life under wraps. Quote:

yeah, my gf is gonna ignore her for good.
i don't know why man, my gf said A used to be really sweet, innocent, down to earth and thoughtful, whenever my gf is in a bind, A would always rush to her and be there for her, but that was several years ago, i think around 7-8 years ago.
frankly speaking, on that day before A came over, i got this uneasy feeling and my sixth sense was telling me to lock my wallet properly, so i locked it.
its not my usual habit of locking my wallet when my friends come to my house, cos i trust them, so normally i'll just leave it on the shelf.
i mean, this is not the first time A came over to my house, there were few other occasions A came over to my house(along with other long-term friends of my gf), to make gifts for their own friends.
but for those few occasions, A wasn't left alone in the room, as there were my gf and her other friends there, so i think it was difficult for A to commit any crime as there were ppl around.and during those times, i just left my wallet around, and nothing was lost.

i've suspected my family members but it couldn't be, and it doesn't make any sense.
and the only female family member is my mum, my mum has very sensitive skin, and hasn't wear makeup for over ten years already, and i bring the keys with me all the time, so couldn't be my family members.
we also wished that its not A, but it seems like every clue we got seems to be directing at her.

You can't probably call A up and asked, since they are still in disagreement.
Sticky situation..

Wow. It's like a detective story. Well I think it is better to talk to friend A. If not she will keep doing it and maybe one day she will get catch by police for stealing thing.
