Most of the time when I smile, they are pretty much "forced" or just smile for the sake of smiling.
There are only that few times whereby I really smiled genuinely, and real unconsciously. One of the time was actually because my ex made me a handmade gift. It was really tiny and the materials used weren't quite expensive either. But for some reason, I just smiled.
Guess maybe its because I've never received such a thing from any of my other Ex-es before?

I could answer if I rephrased the question to "What have girls done that touched my heart?"
- Getting a gift for a 1 month anniversary of a relationship.
- Receiving birthday cards and gifts from a close friend over the span of several years, who I later found out had feelings for me. I was touched because I never remind anyone of my birthday, but she made the effort to remember mine, and also touched that she had feelings for me.
- Visited by my girlfriend when I was unwell, even though I insisted that she should not come because it was Town to West and than back again for her, and she is usually tired from working too much.
Basically getting gifts even though I do not ask for them touches my heart. Especially when I do not remind them of "Special Occasions".
It is the simple acts of love that touches my heart.
Which also includes seeing a mother taking care of her child, or a girl visiting her loved ones in the hospital, etc.
I guess I'm somewhat easily satisfied. Hahaha. >_>

Well, from my experience, almost everything my ex-girlfriend done for me were sweet, and she's lovable for all that.
But when she's gone, well, nothing could keep me smiling other than distracted.
Anyway, it's the thought that counts.

There was this girl who gave me a handmade photo scrapbook on the day before my enlistment date.
I was supposed to view only 1 page per day, which i abided.
There was just enough pages for me to last through my enlistees first confinement (2weeks).
So girls, if you have a guy who's going in to army soon, here's some idea that you may note, to help your boy look forward to every tomorrow.

3) the care and concern she has for everyone
4) the way she looks when she's engrossed in something...

-convinced me that only 2 of us is celebrating but in the end everybody was there.
-wrote me a letter and poem
-compile a notebook of events that we been thru with pic, end it with 'to be continue'
it might seems alright, but at the point of time, i was so deeply touched
