Good Hotels in Bangkok

Anyone has got good hotels in BKK to recommend apart from Baiyoke, Asia, Bangkok Palace and Arnoma?

I have tried them before and would like to try staying at some other hotels. But not sure what are good and reasonable in pricing.

Re: Good Hotels in Bangkok

what kind of location would u like ur hotel to be?

i just came back from bbk not long ago. we stayed at this hotel ( Reflections Rooms ) which has adequate needs with reasonable charge. THB$1850 per room per night, for the standard size room. we enjoy our stay alot. Hotel staffs were friendly and nice, they could recognise their guests as the size of the hotel aren't big.

but if your main purpose is to shop at the siam and pratunam district, you can forgo this.
maybe u can put this in consideration. =)

we stayed in 2 rooms, as the rooms are all of different design.

Re: Good Hotels in Bangkok

Hi
I've stayed at the Pathumwan Princess a few times and can tell you it's a wonderful hotel. Rooms are clean and spacious. It's also next to MBK and you could shop, take your shopping back to your room, shop some more, etc. It's also a short walk to train station. 2 thumbs up.

I stayed in the Novotel @ Siam Square. Their Junior Suite was very cheap, but still comfy and clean. The location was also very nice and central. Just a short walk to MBK, Siam Paragon and the MRT

thanks eTour, Stormcontrol and Berries. Pathumwan is quite costly right? It's one of the better hotels, if I'm not wrong. But I will go check it out.

Will find out more on Novotel and Twin Tower too

Yups, Pathumwan is almost 2X the price for say Asia or Arnoma. So if you want to give yourself a treat...

I did like Arnoma too - they have a good breakfast spread. But there's a thread
here recently where somebody described her horror experience there.
Gave me goosebumps, because I did have a very positive experience at Arnoma.

I have been to Siam At Siam Hotel. It is located on the opposite side of the national stadium next to the MBK center. The hotel are artistic decorated and lagoon styled. Staffs are friendly and nice. You can check out their website here http://www.siamatsiam.com/

Re: Good Hotels in Bangkok

I love this hotel called Grand Sukhumvit Boutique Hotel. It's a wonderful place to stay with all the service people understanding English and know how to speak as well. It's quite a small hotel, about maybe the most 10 storeys high. But it's very well furnished. Reasonably priced. My friend and I stayed in Deluxe Room (bigger) for only $110 per night. Each person only $50 plus. The Deluxe room is big with a place for you to wash dishes, prepare any meals u might have. It has a couch too for u to laze around when u finished ur shopping and just wanna put everything down.

Room service also not that ex. I had Fried Thai Spaghetti for about S$6? I thought for hotel very good le and it was YUMMY! Breakfast area was a small cosy area, not too noisy as well. The waitress always there to serve you coz the area small so u dun have to wave ur hands to get attention.

But what's the best is the nearby places:

Hansar Spa:
MUST GO!!! Only 3 minutes walk from the hotel. Very high class spa and professional as well. Had my body massage and body scrub 1.5 hrs each altogether only S$80 (3 hrs of spa experience). With the dim lights, and soothing music, everything was well organised and the ladies there are all very professional and experienced. I went for foot massage every night.

Elifin Cafe:
MUST GO too! Located just in front of Hansar Spa. Live band performance on every friday and Saturday night. We had dinner and coffee there during the last 2 days. Dinner was not ex. also. Wonderful! That time they had a saxophone and guitar live band performance.

Ploenchit BTS station:
Within 5-10 minutes walk

Two 24-hr convenient stores nearby:
You can get mineral water anytime from there.'

Should really try this. It's rated 21st position in Bangkok if I'm not wrong at tripadvisors.com although it's not a 4 or 5-star hotel.

Re: Good Hotels in Bangkok

Anyone been to Baiyoke Boutique?
I'm considering between BB and PJ Watergate. The price difference is S$100. Read the reviews and some commented that there's ants and cockroaches at PJ?

Anyone can share their exp?

Re: Good Hotels in Bangkok

I've spent 6 days at the Amari Watergate. It's bang on location.
Across from Platinum Fashion Mall, 5 mins walk to Central World, and also the Pratunam market and center across the road too. You can't be in a better location than that.

Really liked it and will come back to it next time I'm back in Bangkok.
Coz it's so convenient to shop at Platinum, pop back over put down your stuff & gone back for another round .
