Niko Arrives in America Fresh off the boat looking for a new life ahead. Together with his Cousin, Roman, They See Liberty City or America as the Land of Opportunity. But Getting to the top is never easy for any GTA Game. You have to crawl up piles of Dead bodies, Stolen Cars and Weapons to get to the top. Thru the Story, You will meet Friends that will come in handy for the future, The ability to choose options that can turn the tide of stories and have memorable as well as frustrating missions in the game. But the Completion of the story Missions will make you fill very fulfilled. Playing thru the first time will have you rushing thru stuff and missing the story. Play thru it the Second time and trust me, It will be better than the first time you played it.
---Graphics---
This is the first time the series takes a plunge into the Current-Gen consoles and it did really well on utilizing the Console's sheer power to give you a living, Vibrant and Remolded Liberty City. Buildings might be slow in loading the details due to Niko Speeding down buildings but this isnt the first Game in the series to ever encounter this. HUD is reduced quite alot now to a Minimap with Your health and Armor Bar around the Map. The City doesnt feel alive in the Day for some reason but at night, the Buildings just Brighten up and its just Great to take a helicopter and view the entire city from the skies.
---Gameplay---
This is the part where the Game takes a huge step ahead from previous games. Realism is Thrown into the game but in a good way. Grand Theft Auto IV utilizes a new Physics engine called "Euphoria". You can Youtube it and find out more about it but Euphoria really made this game as real as it can go. When you shoot him in the head, He falls back. If you shoot him at his Arm, He stumbles with his arm swinging back and if you shoot him at his leg, he will stumble backwards and might even fall. Car Damage now senses where the damage is coming from realistically now. If you throw a grenade thats a little far from a Car's Right Side. The Explosion from the Grenade will send an impact to the Car's right side and eventually denting it. Cars Now drive more realistically than before but its not a really big change. It just feels a little heavier.I can go on about the Physics Engine but its going to be long. Point is, The Physics engine did its job in this game and setting a new bar for sandbox Games. There are little minigames like Darts, Bowling and Getting drunk but all these eventually grow old after you did them 5 times or 6. Many little things are also thrown into this game like a Ladder, Window Cleaning Platforms, Cable Car rides, Helitours Rides, Internet Cafes and it goes on. Now, you have a Cellphone that is totally controllable by you instead of it only being able to receive mission calls. Yes, There Are easter Eggs for you to find in this game, Flying Rats to kill, Stunt Jumps to Jump, Cops to mess around. Every Tiny Thing that Rockstar North took into consideration in this game make this city the most alive city to date. But the catch is that Every Tiny Thing they Put into the Game will get bored after a while. But believe me, even after a year since its release, people still found something new in the game. This is a GTA Game that Every Gamer must Experience.
---Audio---
Every Conversation syncs brilliantly with the mouths of people in cutscences. Every Bullet you fire syncs well with the sound you hear. Radio Stations are well classified and picked correctly for this game.
---Online---
No mattar how noob you are, you are bound to have a great time playing this game online. Be it Owning other noobs or even blocking people's Road while in a Race.
---Technical Issues---
I only encounted a Freeze in the game but after a 20 minute wait, I was able to continue playing.
TIP: Dont even think about renting this game. Its better to buy it. Trust me, Its way more fun than other haters say it isnt.
Overall: 9.7 (There are Waaaaaay More stuff to say about this game but it will be too long and i will sound like your lecturer. Just go to your nearest Game store and buy this game. BUY IT NOW ! And if your PC is Powerful enough, Get it for the PC. Its better than the console versions)

| Re: Grand Theft Auto IV This game has some performance issues and require a good rig to run at the best quality. The gameplay lacks innovation and is very familiar and kinda repetitive when put beside Vice City and San Andreas. Graphics, physics, and storyline are good so I'll give it an 8. I would give it an 8.5 on the 360 version though. This is a great game in my opinion, and there's lots of stuff for the average sandbox fan. Stuff like trying out stunts with a dirt bike, parachuting off the plane, firefights at 6-star, never get old. | |

| | | Re: Grand Theft Auto IV I love the game alot! Even though i complete the game, i still play it. One thing i find about the game is that maybe they can add planes and activities to do. They should somehow follow GTA: San Andreas. Nevertheless, a nice game! | | | | | | Member reviews | | Overall Gameplay | | 9.5 | |

| Re: Grand Theft Auto IV ^^^ The reason why planes are not in the game is because the Physics wont allow it to.... it might be really glitchy or the plane cant even take off but the game SHOULD have more variety of Helis... all we drove are Mavericks and Annihilators....
I dont think we will see a GTA: SA or VC in GTA IV Graphics... Yes, there will have a Second GTA Spinoff on Current Gen consoles thats for sure but I Bet its going to be in a new city...

I am in the last mission and its killing me! | Its just about practice, my advice is, Just keep dodging the missiles until the final one near the island... thats a guaranteed hit for the story.... LS back is to brake the heli. LS Front is to move forward.... LS right/left is OBVIOUS.... LT is lower the copter and RT is higher the copter.... You need to get used to it....

| Re: Grand Theft Auto IV I rather they don't have any flying mission at all. That's the most frustrating mission in all GTA games (especially San Andreas) and even Saint's Row 2 (although it's easier than GTA). I know die hard fans would want it, but I will like the game more without it. Anyway I'm looking to buy a preowned GTA 4 for my PS3. Anyone want to let go at S$30? | | | | | | Member reviews | | Overall Gameplay | | 9.5 | |

Don't think you get through the flying missions in one try right? | | | | | | |
