Lol .. same case when i told my mom that i wanted to go cosplay, she though cosplay was a bad thing and called it lame and i was like : " Arh? Oh nonononono! You got it all wrong, then i show'd her teh cosplay's introduction by cutepetz " then she realized it and let me go for it .. xDD

There is a trick Choose a character as something that u can wear normally on the street,meaning mild. Ur parent might see that its not money spend on something wear few time etc, then slowly they can accept
