Health Promotion

Wanna learn how to promote health to the people around you and to yourself? Then this course might be just the right one for you.

Let's start from this module - In this module, you get to learn how to promote health to all age group, different kind of ways to promote heath, what kind of health aspects to promote and etc. Did you know that there are 7 stages when are person quit smoking? You will learn about all 7 stages and ways to promote anti-smoking. There will also be field trips and games during lessons for certain topics which will be super fun.

2. There are various types of health promotion topic such as promoting anti smoking, anti alcoholism, promoting nutrition, physical activity and healthy eating at all times. Yes indeed an interesting theory! The 7 stages are:

1. Pre-contemplation - In this phase, you're not thinking about giving up smoking.

2. Contemplation - In this phase people are aware of the pros and cons of smoking, but aren't yet ready to do anything about them.

3. Preparation - A smoker in the preparation stage sees smoking as a problem that needs tackling.

4. Action - They start implementing their preparation into action. E.g. Don't smoke for 2 weeks, then slowly progress.

5. Maintenance - Maintaining the smoke-free lifestyle while handling the withdrawal symptoms.

6. Termination - You have mastered the skill of quitting smoking and no longer smoke.

7. Relapse - Setbacks are a natural part of quitting. It usually takes four or five attempts before a smoker quits for good. While this means relapse is part of the quit process, there's no getting away from the disappointment you'll feel if it happens.

As for me, we went to Health Promotion Board and a chosen Primary or Secondary school to study their healthy habits. Not too sure if they have changed it now though. As for the fun activities, you'll get to play games that your classmates have come up with and other physical activity games.

quit smoking is never easy..studying the theory maybe easy.but going through the process of quit smoking is sure to be harder than what most people think.for ex-smokers,they understand the feeling best

well,smoking itself is unhealthy,if they promote that smoking is healthy,then the course is just not promoting any healthy sense..anyway,no course will promote smoking as it is bad for health..even cigarette packing discourage people to smoke too ..

actually people smoke to distress mostly..however,they distress at the expense of their health and wealth
