there are japanese metal bands too.
like sex machineguns.
but they are not as popular.

SMG or sadie is quite heavy already.
anyway in US theres plenty
black sabbath, metallica etc

Cos I've been to gigs that have punk/metal thangs going on. Underground tix though.

dun most of these bands do covers? Heavier than jrock? Jrock is actually just an umbrella term for Japanese rock that can range from anything from metal to pop-rock. I think its safe to try what Shiro mentioned like Sex Machineguns. I think some old stuff like X may also be what ur looking for. Most newer stuff, even Luna Sea may not be what ur trying to get. Heavy metal thats as far as I know, black metal, I can't say, I steer away from that.
