Help.. cant loose weight in proper ways..

Hello all.. I happened to drop by and decided to register myself as a user here..

Just wonder if any of you can give me advice..

I am a 20yr old gal weighing about 90kg, 163cm..

I was only a little over weight when i was 16.. until i met with a sudden illness (arthritis).. most of my joints swelled up and i was not able to exercise since there.. there were a few periods of time i recovered and managed to still go for badminton and swimming to reduce my weight.. but until my 3rd relapse, the worst condition over the years.. i was restricted from all exercises.. and doctors gave me a lot of medicines which includes strong steroids.. i gained 15 - 20 kg within 2-3 months despite still eating regularly as last time. Only few months back i heard from some elders around that steroids' side effects actually includes increasing weights and make the face bloated.. so i stopped all my medicines given by the doctors and only took chinese medicines prescribed by chinese physician.. my weight did dropped a little but still stuck between 85 - 90kg..

i signed up for marie france bodyline but did not managed to complete the course because i also got psoriasis which is actually linked to my arthritis.. and doctors around were saying that i cannot go for such courses to reduce weight as my joints cant endure massage..

im really frustrated.. i dont ask for pretty figures.. i only want a healthy body.. i am so afraid that the next illness i would have is diabetes.. heart attack.. high blood pressure or whatsoever.. when im already suffering from this arthritis.. most imptly is.. i am only 20.. im really really scare that diabetes would come to me bcos doctors ever suspected me once..

my legs are now better.. i have a stationary bike at home.. is it possible to ride on it to reduce weight? but my right hand is almost handicapped so i wont be able to use my right hand.. is it still possible to reduce weight then?

im considering to buy REDUZE slimming pills to help me out..

can anyone advice me? or is there any other simple exercise? I cant use my right hand anyway..

All of your advises will be greatly appreciated

hello there.


eat yakult, more fruits and vegetables.

eat protein based food like chicken etc only once a day.


most important its just diet and exercise...

but balance diet is also a must
so maybe one meal then u eat rice/ protein based.

afterall u need to offset ur current consumption to burn off ur retained fats.

And last but not least if u are eating pills, don eat excessive (; and also..if u are eating pills dont follow my method above

avoid vegeterian food(contain alot of starch)

and lastly regular exercise...

if u are always hungry and want smthing to drink...yakult (it got slimming purposes)
if hungry munch on fruits like grapes? oranges?

Of course, by doing all this with pills have risk also lei.scared ur body cannot take it.

anyway, this are tips that were once given by my friends to me.i am just sharing.

u shld consult ur doctor about this.(THIS IS THHE MOST IMPORTANT THING BEFORE U GO ABT EATING PILLS OR DIETING)

lastly..i heard that chinese acupunture can make ppl loose weight too.tts the safest i suppose

is light exercises like yoga okay with u?

regarding ur leg condition..
u have to start small first.

u have my support
don be too stress up live life easy.
i heard from friends tt if u get too stressed u can also gain weight due to some hormonal imbalance or smthing.

So its just abt mainitaing good health for ur case..eat healthy , exercise light..

thanks a lot for all ur advices..my meals are like 3 times a day.. and ea time is like normal packaging food from outside de caterer.. for eg .. cai fan 菜饭 etc.. but i drink a lot of water.. including sweet drinks.. but i don drink drinks that are gasy.. like coke etc.. i will start getting yakults and grapes..

sweet drinks are same as coke and pepsi. contains alot of sugar. cut down on sweet drinks and avoid outside food!! contains alot of MSG

get advice from the doctor you are seeing.

ask them questions like :
1. what kind of exercise can you do since you are having this condition?
2. and what are the food you can take?

But a general guideline to losing weight.

Be mindful of your portion that is to say watch what you put into your mouth like fried , sweet stuff those usually higher in calories.

and water is always good in small portions

To lose weight : Daily calories intake(food) < Daily calories used(exercise)

I dont know how i can help but he is my 2 cents worth.

Go on a low carb diet, have raw unprocess food, lower calorie intake.

Do like exercises like walks!, super light weights to get the muscles going.

go to the gym and ask for professional help.

You can try weight loss centre, which are healthy. Heard Acupuncture help but still, food/calorie intake must be controlled.

Have about 6 meals a day, i dont know if you can have nuts or like the taste of Tuna, they are part of my diet when i was on low carb/high protein diet with lots of exercises/ and toning up.

I suggest you do weight training. Sorry, there is no cardio exercise for you. The more you exercise the worse the joints will get. Teenage arthritis is only temporary. Dont worry.

Yes the side effect of steriods is weight gain. But there is no choice. Rarer than getting all the joints destroyed it is better to stop the inflammation ASAP.

I think you are eating too much. People can get by just eating two meals a day. Try to eat organic chicken salad every day.
