better to soak that dress in vinegar and some cold water .. prevent color bleeding first.

Re: How do you clean your doll ?

wash the clothes under normal tap water plus some (hand) soap.... then wash it throughly the soak the clothes + water & vinegar [black one is better] over night

the next day wash the clothes again under tap water and soap

as for the doll u'll need the following
1. mr colour thinner
2. magic spoonge
3. MSC Flat cut [UV if u want, i just use flat, cheaper XD]

2 ways of doing this

a. unstring the doll, use thinner and give a through cleaning then recoat with MSC and then restring

OR

b. just use the thinner on the spot, CAREFULLY spray the msc while the doll is still strung

i suggest A but u'll be needing someone along to help with the restringing... B is really for lazy ppl who doesn;t care that their MSC might appear like an extra bump on the dollfie body <.<" [in other words do A LOL]

why spray msc on ur doll's when u wan to play with it? if u happen to move ur doll's body a lot ... it is best not to use msc... unless u are those type who just put ur doll on display n leave em like that... coz msc can really chip off easily

u can use thinner + magic sponge it might remove the stubborn dirt on your doll...

Re: How do you clean your doll ?

unstring your doll and soak it in warm water, after awhile try rubbing the stain off with your magic sponge again.

hrm so that your doll has a layer of protection i guess?

how to say like when the next staining happens u might be able to prevent deep staining i guess?

msc chip off/peel off [i seen it all somehow with my other friend;s doll] happens all the time, more ppl either redo it or leave it and it becomes Shiny over time <.<:

anyhows use msc more for UV protection [sunblock] or for general dirt preventive measure [i dun really subscribe to UV coating as i find it waste of $$$ and besides to me UV cut is like useless cos even thou i bring my kids for photoshoots/outings i do not see myself putting them in the sun for 12 hours straight LOL]

how deep can a stain stain a resin.... unless it is made of oil? juz try to use magic sponge n thinner .... den it shld be gone in no time... or use wad kani-chan recommend...

i dun use UV cut unless when i m buying my material n flat ran out.. so no choice have to use UV cut..

UVcut is useless again the sun .... it onli can protect to a certain limit... so i dun think i need it coz it kinda waste $$

not really if u are talking about clothes stains, depending on the extend it may not be able to come out without thinner [i personally experienced it b4.... i had to just thinner then recoat the doll]

so yeah XD

Re: How do you clean your doll ?

i use magic sponge and water to clean.
once my friend taught me to wash it with detergent (mama lemon), for washing plates
hey .. it really works. it washes off the dirt. but i think it is only applicable to certain quality of resin

Re: How do you clean your doll ?

Magic sponge + Water = Cleans off most dirt.

I don't clean him with thinner, cos I blush his body and then the msc will come off. D:
