Wonder if anyone been to Hualian in Taiwan? I intend to stay 1D1N there.
Where are the must-gos? I know the taroko gorge is a must go... What else?
Is there any night market or night activities recommended?
Did anyone try the cycling track?
Thanks!

the night market there is very small compared to Shilin night market. you can go the mountain route where there are farms and flowers on the way or go via the sea track where you can see the ocean. there is a place to surf too~
you wanna try the cycling track? it will take 2 days. need to plan proper accommodation as small towns do not have hostel or place to stay. you can choose the sea or mountain route but sea is easier. towards hualien city, the route there is very challenging. the place will turn dark at ard 5 to 6pm. Have to find a place to rest as for small towns, they do not have street lamps for some roads. very dangerous! i have tried it before and totally exhausted. haha! but the view is very nice!
On a scooter, City to Guangfu will take 3 hours. Average speed 80km/hr. been to hualien a few times! a wonderful place! their mua chee is a must try! no preservatives, have to eat it within 2 days or it will turn hard.
