Re: Hyundai Avante, Toyota Vios, or Suzuki SX4?

budget wise, below $50k.. of coz the cheaper the better! actually its just for going from point a to point b.. mainly for convenience sake.. hmm.. not much load to speak of i guess.. i dunno what are the FCs of the above cars.. if its a lousy FC, but the price is cheap enough.. that is to say, the car price difference can more than cover the consumption of "extra" petrol..
my concern is to get a value for $ car.. and of coz to limit my "loss" since cars are liabilities..

Re: Hyundai Avante, Toyota Vios, or Suzuki SX4?

With these cars, it all goes down to which design you like, both exterior and interior, as these cars are all quite similar in performance and purpose. FC wise, vios should have the best among the 3 coz of its slightly smaller capacity also.

Think you should go test drive all the cars to see which you feel most comfortable in. some cars may look nice on the outside, but once you sit inside, you find stuff like blind spots, seat not too comfy/too firm, steering too far away, seating position too low/high/can't be adjusted for height, quality of interior not to taste, no cup holders, annoying sounds, instruments at the center an eye sore... etc etc. Since you are spending time inside the car rather than outside admiring it, its best to see which is most comfortable and pleasing.

Which of the 3 are you more towards? if u just want an opinion on which is nicest... i think the hyundai advante or i30 looks nice. and it comes with 4 disc brakes too (more of quality feel than performance). followed by vios, then sx4.

anw, if possible, better to choose a manual over an auto. 1st its cheaper to buy and cheaper to maintain in the long run. 2nd, manuals have better FC than auto of the same model, as autos have more mechanical losses.

Re: Hyundai Avante, Toyota Vios, or Suzuki SX4?

Vios for FC, suzuki for more of a lifestyle car.

Anyway suzuki's are not known for their good FC. Hyundai is worst.

My previous vios was clocking ard 16km/L till i started modding it.

nv driven either before.. but from the specs, i'm guessing they should be around 10-12+km/l. theoretically speaking, the avante should have better FC than the sx4 because its running a higher comp ratio (more efficient) and has a lighter weight.

Hm.. personally feels that I prefer Toyota more because of the FC and should be getting better price to sell it next time compare the 2 other model.

oou.. so my guess was right.

btw masterboix, didn't know the cerato had such a bad FC. is that for real?? that's about the same or worse than a 3.0L V6!

think there's a typo somewhere, or else this engine takes the award for worst FC for a 1.6L stock car. =/
