Well.. seems as if this section in sgclub is kind of dead..
why not lets intro to each other and share a little about ourselves?

I'm Kuroii studying in University of Western Australia..
2nd year in bachelor of Commerce and Economics..
(would be a 3rd yr student soon) =D

(hope this thread would be alive despite the fact that almost no one comes here =X)

I'm Nat, doing my honours in psychology at Melbourne University. Planning to do Master of Psychology next year. So sick of studying~

I'm majoring in Marketing, Management, Management Accounting, Economics, Human resource management and Employment Relations..
My degree allows me to squeeze in 6 majors.. =D

You can consider it since their certificate are much more recognized..
Other than that you can also consider Murdoch..
But between this two Uni I don't know which is better for IT courses..

Ahh, that explains it. Cos even for arts degree, three majors is already quite a lot ahaha. Your course is pretty long! Is it a combined with honours? :O

Woo, ^5, I only have one exam but it's driving me insane. It's gonna be the last one I'm gonna take in my undergrad yea~

YES! I hate the flies!! And the heat... ahh, never been in Perth for summer... is it that bad? Cos it's already pretty bad in Melbourne lol! Yep, I'm heading back! Can't even be bothered to stay for my graduation because it's so long and boring lol!

I went to the US (UC Davis) for exchange... love the Californian weather, and people are really so easy-going!

What kind of IT courses are you looking at? Melb Uni emphasises computer science and software engineering. Melb Uni is a very theory-based uni, so if you're looking for more practical experience, you better look elsewhere. I'm not too sure about the rest of the unis. If you're looking for prestige, then try Melb Uni and Monash. Monash has more business IT stuff if that's what you're interested in. Hope that helps.

Btw, where do your relatives live? Cos some unis are located in ridiculously rural places, so transport may be a problem.

i went to MIT to do an internship under MDA's GAMBIT Games Lab which is basically a research lab that make games for research purposes... my role was a games designer...

surprisingly, during my 8-9 weeks stay, for around 6 weeks, the weather was actually quite cooling but when it was warm, it was around singapore's temperature, just that it's less humid and therefore less irritating...

Exams were just over..

The weather over here is quite cranky, some days it's cool, and suddenly it gets hot. It seems to have moved from winter straight to summer, skipping spring. Don't remember it was that hot last year.

Are you guys going back to SG during the holidays?

My place also has no aircon... it has a ceiling fan, but it's not in my bedroom, so pretty much useless lah hahaha! I stay just next to uni wooo~ XD

My course doesn't have attachments, at least for undergrad. They only have it at masters level... I'll have internal and external clinical placements next year, but that's all in Australia if I continue to study here.

Hmmm, it depends on which uni I get accepted into next year. If it's Bond, it starts in January... but mostly the rest will start in Feb or March. So yep, unfortunately, I don't even have the time to work haha. I usually can't find any work for 1~2 months. Usually require 3~6 months commitment sigh... I might try for IMH's internship for one month next year if I get into masters... but it's self-sponsored... wish it wasn't though.
